(They're based off of one of the Cave Story Beta screenshots at the Tribute Site, technically.)

That's the second-last room of the Top Floor (where the second-last boss is).
I almost didn't survive, and I didn't use the Save Disk or Life Pot items I started out with when testing that.

Maybe have the boss teleport around between the battles?

80 starting HP, with Acidic Bubble, Arcanum and Misery's End. (Need to write something on that for the Library.)
Due to the size of the room, where he ends up is hard to figure out. He might teleport close to you, or not.
And no, that's not the master. That's the Doctor. (The Master will appear when I finish his sprites.)

His other forms are not done yet, either. (But I died five times to the last one.)
Those shockwaves helped, really; the bones give XP and hearts so it's easier than Ballos was

Also, in-universe there's a book series of which the total amount of pages are equal to 33 411 pages.
And that's for ten books.

So the second last boss will be hard as firetruck. (No seriously, try to blow up some of them. Rocket or Granade Lauchers are basically using ~ and cv_cheat 1) Well almost everyone will save their live pot so their inventory can be heavier so why not make the boss even more harder so they can make their inventory lighter

Also what is the book series all about. I mean 10 books, man this beated Harry Potter so bad that Pottermore is crying bloody tears all over again. (I should stop watching over-sarcastic comedies.)

Basically, it's about a young girl who goes on adventures doing various things. Like "Ginny Anderson and the Strawberry Crisis". And various other ridiculous titles.
The first book has about 1020 pages. And it keeps on getting more - the final book has 10696 pages ("Ginny Anderson and the End of Existence"). The author, R.K. José-von Karma, is somehow a trillionaire (if not richer than that).
Serenity finds the books boring, though. (The plots are ridiculous - seriously, trying to stop a madman from eating all the strawberries which would otherwise lead to some kind of crisis?)

There will also be books by Lunadine "Luna" von Terra (who appears in the mod) and books related to Invidia (in beta 2 of version 3) and Arcanum (newly added) as well as Misery's End (currently being added).

I doubt Bloody Tears will be in version 3, though I'll just remain patient.

The second-last boss starts off easy (50 HP for 7 forms, all of which are the same) and is similar to the maids from the Servant Quarters. Easy to dodge, and so on; those spikes and blocks above them aren't there.
Then, after that, the boss teleports away and reappears on-screen and the final form (300 HP) will be battled. (I have a lot of trouble with the last form, if only due to using only a level 1 Misery's End and nothing else.)

Well one thing is using lv 1 ME (for short) a whole another thing is lv 3

But that what you're doing is good. It shows that minimal item runs are possible.
(Altough it will be a minimal item run if you have CM only which is … discouraging

Looks like ver 4 will be the last ver Imo. Am i right?

Nope. At least, not necessarily.

While Version 4 will add the Tower and Top Floor areas, there might be a Version 5 depending on the following:

Bugs we may have missed (it's possible, especially with Xyz having various cutscenes now)
The addition of a bonus dungeon or not (I'm still thinking about it, though if one is added it will be called the "Confusion Zone", and its goal would be to be as perplexing as possible and generally make life hellish for the player because the Confusion Zone is evil like that)
Other stuff and updates due to the prequel Lunar Shadow Zero or the sequel Lunar Shadow X
The possibility also exists that version 4 will only add the Tower area, or the Top Floor area, and a version 5 be released to add the other area not included. Of course, as Azehr is a mandatory boss, the true final boss would be in version 5 in both cases of this possibility. I'm not sure just yet, anyway.
Version 4 will also be released far from February, most likely - it depends on when those song requests are finished, really.

Anyway, progress is such that the mod can be officially released as version 3a. (Just have to upload it.)
Hopefully there won't be any bugs to encounter; though, if there are, well, they can be fixed.

(I may or may not have forgotten a few bugs. If I did just shout at me through a megaphone or something.)

The naming formats are similar.
Then, there's the "Strawberry Crisis" thing, which is also the name of a Touhou song.

Also, the author of the Harry Potter series is a J.K. Rowling.
The author of the Ginny Anderson series is a R.K. José-von Karma (hyphenated last names? Really?).
All three have "JKR" in the names.

Progress update:
Shinica and Valerie now have face pics! Serenity and Ataraxis (a new character who hides in Top Floor SC, which cannot be accessed legitimately as of this post) both have more face pics.
If you leave Xyz for later, rather than beat it before Sycor, then:

After the Ghost Dragon Twins, Xyz becomes Xyz EX when defeated (though the "EX" isn't mentioned in version 3a)
Extra dialogue for if Shinica was given a Life Pot (except for one case)
Sincerity after the Valkyrie boss

Also, Xyz will have one extra possible cutscene (at the moment).
In the current release, Xyz's room has four possible cutscenes, so it's safe to say the next release will have five cutscenes.

If Alexis is defeated, for instance, but Xyz still isn't, perhaps have a third form after his second form ("Xyz EX")? Who knows~

Progress:
Valerie makes her appearance in Servant Quarters P if the player doesn't give Shinica a Life Pot (as Shinica is injured at that point and needs rest).
She's fully blind, though.

Also Serenity has slightly more dialogue now.
