Confusion Zone doesn't look all that confusing at the moment

The background also looks a bit out-of-place, in my opinion. (The blue one.)

Say, what's the canonical ending of the mod? Is it completing the Confusion Zone, or just beating the boss and getting out of there?

1st: If you can make the door create a feel of curiosity in the player, well.... he he

2nd: New text boxes. Yay.

Making the mod in different stile than CS is for the good.
3rd: Lame reward? Sadly yeah. Maybe something lore-wise must be more rewarding. And still:

MY OPINION DOESN'T MATTER IF THE CREATOR KNOW WHAT SHE'S DOING

4th: I suggest watching some of the Metroid's endgame escapes. Maybe you'll get some great ideas.
5th: Kim used Confusion. It's super effective

I haven't thought about that, though I'd say that the latter is the best ending.

Also, there are blocks that aren't blocks.

Sometimes I don't know what I'm doing though.
The Central Tower is gonna be complicated, since flight would be a major requirement there. And then after Azehr's boss fight, the tower would be damaged and thus have less platforms that can be jumped on. (Permanently, possibly.)
That's the plan though.

Lore-wise, I think I might make that room important...

The mini-Balrogs are actually from the Cave Story beta. Or rather, from what little is known about it. This page comes in handy.

In fact, the cake and the diving mask thing from Serenity's beach outfit is also from the pics, as are some of the tiles (like most of the Servant Quarters, mostly).

I was planning on working more on Azehr's room, but I overslept badly (woke up at 19:00 GMT+0, so I slept for about 19 or 18 hours

) so there's nothing new to report there.

To be honest I wish the things from Beta Cave Story are in Cave Story 2; the TV Tropes page for Cave Story says that Pixel has confirmed that a sequel is very likely.
That's just wishful thinking, etc. though ^^;

Excuse me? Pixel said it was very UNlikely their to be a sequel. He barely finished Kero Blaster because he had next to none motivation near finishing it. The last rumour was from NICALIS' Macbook where they saw Cave Story 2... and Super 1001 Spikes Turbo... so It ended up more like a dev joke rather than real thing.

And so Lunar Shadow will be postponed. Getting a new hard drive will probably not be fun.

There has been a major setback to progress - Kim's hard drive broke down.

Thank goodness there's a back-up of the mod, though.

Well that's sad. Still she uploaded the Pre-Alpha in the last moment and maybe she didn't make chances from then so she backed herself up.

I hope she could come back soon.

She could, but she's too hardheaded. I did say that she can borrow my computer, but she refused, saying that she would prefer to use her own computer, rather than borrow one. My stepcousin (who helped determine why the computer broke down) said she would try to repair it, though I have no idea how long it would take. Worse, Kim said that even if she could get it repaired, she would not have the money for it.
The best bet would be to get a new hard drive and get a professional to recover all of the data, which would cost a lot of money.
(I might have to ask my sister Lily to help with that; her habit of saving money is a bit extreme but if it saves Kim from having to pay rent like usual instead of "paying" rent by working on Lunar Shadow... then I suppose it will not hurt to ask. Yes, Kim lives with myself and my sisters and stepsisters, as well as the aforementioned stepcousin and also another friend. It is rather complicated, is it not?)

The evening she uploaded the Pre-Alpha Kim did say her computer was making weird sounds; aside from the Pre-Alpha Release of version 4, she has made a back-up that included each and every note, map, etc. that she would need.

I suppose she did not want us to be bored while we wait or something?

At least we can work on bug-hunting the Pre-Alpha, no matter how many bugs there are. It should help with when she can finally work on the mod, that she can immediately take out the bugs and do what she can to finish this great mod.

Well, this may not be related to the mod, but there is some progress on Kim's computer thing.
The hard drive is replaced, but data recovery will take a while (and according to my stepcousin Amy, that might take anywhere from several hours to as much as a week to find those files and recover it).
