My project is done, kinda! It ended up way way longer than I originally planned and it's already somewhat longer than an average book so I decided to cut it off here and post the first 27 chapters. I'll keep writing more stuff, probably, but there's a real possibility I could never actually finish the planned story, so in case that happens, at least this part is up. https://www.wattpad.com/story/375273073-function-disorder-volume-oneAlso planning to set up a little website using something like weebly or similar, to also host it and make sure I'm not gonna get censored or anything. (I totally get you guys aren't going to be super interested in actually reading it, this thread's mostly to brag about my cool accomplishment pretty much)

I am curious as to what lies north of Hangtide.
You are correct, there does appear to be yet more land in the far Northwest, to the North of Kalunope Isle, where Hangtide is. That is a small uninhabited island, even smaller than Kalunope Isle, which could not be settled because it is an active volcano.

This is actually very interesting. May I put this up on the LSP Wiki?
Glad you like! Of course, go ahead :3 I—
What the Niflheim did you use? From what I can tell (by opening the pic in a new tab on my smartphone), it looks cool~
Thanks! I wrote a program in Game Maker to procedurally generate the land shapes, then added everything else in Paint.net

I went into a weird trance for like 5 hours, and when I went back to normal I had made this I'd be interested to see RKS' notes so I know what to add to the 5th province :3 … spoilered pic… stretched page too much on mobile… - RKS

… Metroidvanias… and fun… want more…
Afterimage, Ender Lilies… not working on our computer…
Alwa's Awakening/Legacy, Astalon: Tears of the Earth, Axiom Verge (both), Bloodstained (CotM1/2 and RotN), Cathedral, Catmaze, Cave Story, Chasm, Elderand, Fortune Summoners - Secret of the Elemental Stone, Iconoclasts, Iji, La-Mulana 2, Lost Epic, Lost Ruins, Mable and the Wood, Minoria, Momodora games, Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, Monster Sanctuary, Phoenotopia Awakening, Poacher, Rusted Moss, Shovel Knight, TimeSpinner, Transiruby, Unepic, Valdis Story - Abyssal City, Vernal Edge, Wife Quest, Wings of Vi… already playable to us…
Opinions: -- Axiom Verge: I really enjoyed the first one, it was awesome, I thought the upgrades were really cool and creative and I loved the setting. The drone gun in particular was a brilliant design decision. I have the second one, I played some of it, but I didn't finish it yet. So far, I think it's pretty good but not as good as the first one. -- Cave Story: I don't think anything more needs to be said about Cave Story. -- Mable and the Wood: I was really looking forward to this when it first came out, and it was a huge disappointment. It was buggy and didn't work properly and while the ideas behind it were super cool it never managed to live up to the potential. That was before the big updates though, maybe it's better now, idk. -- Monster Sanctuary: Didn't get very far in it, but I thought the strategy aspects were creative :3 -- Shovel Knight: I played the original game but not any of the expansions. Excellent homage to Megaman, very well designed, even though I never really came back -- Wings of Vi: Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. Janky, broken, does not agree with my brain. Recommendations: -- An Untitled Story -- Probably my favourite metroidvania of all time. By the same developer as Celeste, but much older. Aged somewhat poorly unfortunately. -- Hollow Knight -- It's brilliant in that the progression really is non-linear, as the metroidvania genre boasts to be. A truly epic adventure and a brilliantly creative setting. Pure Vessel is probably my favourite action platformer boss fight ever. -- Metroid 2 -- Specifically, the fanmade version of it that Nintendo tried to kill. Balls hard. Absolutely epic music. It's rare that a game is made with this much love. -- The Power -- A masterclass in metroidvania world design. Can navigate the whole map with ease, without getting lost and without the need for a fast travel system. -- Shape Quest -- Many years ago, I called it a crappy ripoff of An Untitled Story, but really, I was being unfair to it. -- Within a Deep Forest -- Veeeeeery old, but the world is very cleverly built and was one of the inspirations behind Project K. There's an overworld, with sub-levels, which leads to a world that might not be as interconnected as An Untitled Story or Hollow Knight but is easy to traverse and not confusing while still getting the point across and avoiding most of the game design challenges that come from open worlds.

Sooo, I took a bit of a hiatus from Project K and put this together! It all started when I got bored one day and decided to write a script that divides a grid into a specified number of regions of random size and shape. Then, I decided to turn that into a game thing! Near the beginning, I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted to make, at one point I thought it might end up being basically Ecsaiz 2, then it turned into something completely different. It's a little arcade-style arena shooter, inspired by games like BubbleTime. It's got very in-depth scoring mechanics and I think it's super fun although I'm biased and I also think maybe the mechanics are too confusing. Would recommend reading the instructions first.
The player character is Kyan because I put him in there as a placeholder and then was too lazy to make something else to replace him with, so, there you go.
My high score is 4,617,787,470,355.

I imagine you are referring to the sockpuppet by the same name, rather than the true Shane whose birthday is also today?
This is correct, yes -- did not know (or didn't remember) that the true Shane had the same birthday
