I came to this thread thinking that I would hopefully find a way to download the mod from the Dragon Rider forum, but this looks like it's something else entirely. What exactly is this?

Dragon Riders was a project created by Shane which can also be found on Qoutev:

In addition, the only Shane mods I can actually link for you are Cave Story: ReCoded and Hope of Shane: FROST (the latter of which is far better designed and his best mod). The rest of the links are either gone or are in (you guessed it) Dragon Riders Planning Forums). And yes, finding those two working links was a pain in the arse.

Thanks for the links! I'll have a play through those mods when I get the chance. The Dragon Riders thing seems pretty length so I might have to save that for another day.

If you do get around to reading Dragon Riders, expect to see mentions of gas-masks/poison gas.

It's strange isn't it? I think most of it comes from Kim (seriously, her DeviantART favourites are not for the faint of heart) considering that her sockpuppets (e.g Michelle/Ellen/Taylor/Ariana) all have same the obsession with lingerie/thigh-highs/anime girls.

Not going to lie, I am somewhat interested in this Deviant Art gallery. I stopped visiting DA a long time ago because of how... odd it got sometimes, but this is interesting enough to go back for.

Sarcastic much? If you really want to go deeper, look into the Vocaloid, Fairy Tale, Kazenokaze or Stuff folders. If not, then return to the topic of Dragon Riders.

Damn. I guess I'll have to change my name to Kinkshamer 2.0. Nah, I'm kidding. Honestly, the thigh-highs/opera gloves/lingerie is part of the Vresun charm (along with the complex character development).

Very anime-esque indeed, and a lot of self inserts, oh my. Kissing in the prologue already! A one-man-defeats-entire-squad fight scene! And Kim confessed her love for Shane only two chapters in!
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
And they die at 25 if they don't marry?
This is some of the weirdest plot-enforced pairing I have seen. But whatever floats their goat I guess.
And you weren't kidding about the gas masks.

This has the dialogue writing of a very stereotypical anime. It's not the best written fic I've seen. But it is what it is. It's Interesting. :3
