It doesn't matter what race you want to be. As long as you're willing to roleplay as them, you're good to go. (Just make sure the race you chose would be appropriate to the game at hand.)

They're welcome to do so. In fact, I'm planning on keeping this thread opened even after the game itself has started in case someone wants to join in. (They may need a flimsy excuse for suddenly dropping in should their appearance at a given time semm improbable, an excuse I have to make.)
