Ah right, so this Lunar Shadow entity (which I doubt will get a Soul form) somehow resurrects Aidan and is pretty much Chaos from Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow hence why the castle is able to return. The temporal barrier is something I'm trying to make sense of considering that you stated that one of Amariss's friends put the barrier up around the castle which would mean that time doesn't advance in the castle but anything outside of the castle (in the barrier) is frozen in time. Unless of course the temporal barrier freezes anything outside the barrier in time which means the entire planet is frozen in time during Lunar Shadow X.

Also if Amariss kills herself by jumping off the Eminent Arena (unless she intended to fake her own death) and is revived by Kim Ethenarch after Qwertyuiop, then that would mean that it's a foregone conclusion that Kim Ethnarch's possession by Ethenarch doesn't last.
Unless of course all of this is just potential concepts for the mod and that the actual Lunar Shadow X is quite different.

Ah, but unlike the Lunar Shadow, Chaos wasn't created by Aidan using something called the Pandora's Box. Also, Repose's Taint is a lot like Soma's power, haha.

In LSX, everyone outside of the barrier is frozen in time, as I understand it.

And the canon best ending for Apocalyptic Shadow is to defeat Qwertyuiop, freeing Kim Ethnarch.

So everyone in Tirahnys (as I understand it) is frozen in time while the only beings that can still move are within the castle? So that would mean Aidan has Amariss mind controlled to kill the girl who put the temporal barrier up because Aidan and his henchmen can't leave the castle without being frozen in time.

One way of looking at it.

Amariss was the only Perchance Village girl with a gas mask on, and apparently, that makes it possible for Aidan to mind-control her if they're in the same room.

Kim says that ability's why the Dark Armour bad ending exists in LS.

Which is strange because the mod (Lunar Shadow) itself implies that the Dark Armour itself is what corrupts Serenity into serving Aidan, with no mention of gasmasks whatsoever. Ilina's brainwashing in LS happened because she was immune to the Dark Armour's brainwashing properties according to the mod's own lore.

Like Tranquility surviving due to her Copyform Spell, and Ataraxis having the Reincarnation Taint, though this didn't appear in the mod either.

So Kim's decided to basically make a lot of changes to LS's lore that contradicts what happened in her own mod? It'd just be easier to have them Aidan resurrect them via Lunar Shadow (entity) rather than add in a bunch of convoluted retcons (which might end up retconned themselves).

And this is why I stick to what actually happened in the mod. Concepts and ideas are often changing and what may appear in the actual mod may be completely different to what was planned originally.

Kim did plan for the Tainted Garden, Lunar Soul, and Grim Path areas to appear there, but ran out of maps for all those.

In a Game Maker (or something) remake, that could change, though.

I had figured that an updated version of Lunar Shadow could merge several of the rooms together, reducing the number of maps used. (Then again Booster's Lab doesn't allow one to copy/paste scripts over which is really annoying and makes writing scripts quite tedious sometimes). However you can have up to 127 maps in freeware Cave Story so if Kim were willing to shuffle things around, she could add those 3 locations in the next update (and finish the Confusion Zone).

Our (broken) Booster's Lab can copy/paste scripts...

At least, we can copy stuff and paste it elsewhere with Ctrl+C/V.

Also, CaveEditor hates 127 maps, limiting us to ~100 maps. It's all we have to mod effectively with, unfortunately.

Huh I just tried copy/pasting some script from Sector Red to another map and it works even though the font is just plaintext. I'll have to try it out again in future to see if the copy-pasted text actually works. I still think it would've been better if Booster's Lab had a simply Copy/Paste function (even MS Paint has that).

Your gripes with CaveEditor are understandable (those limitations do sound annoying), so it's little wonder that Bloom thinks Booster's Lab is serperior.
