a) Now that I'm leaving CSTSF behind, my options have increased significantly. I'm heavily considering going into GBA modding starting with either MegaMan Battle Network 5 (the only MMBN game I've played), or Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland or Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga. If I had the skills, I'd also mod either Digimon World: Dawn/Dusk or MegaMan Star Force.
b) Regarding likes/hates, I like RPGs that have multiple endings, have a challenge that isn't too easy or hard, a great soundtrack, a strong postgame, and all sorts of fun little extra and hate it when RPGs force tutorials on players, use fake difficulty/longitievty to make their games seem harder/longer, hours of level grinding that either have no quick way to gain levels or make them frustrating, "points of no return" that screw over underleveled players, sidequests that are tedious/practically require a guide, high enemy encounter rates.
c) Definitely Neon Genesis Evangelion, with me in Shinji's place. And no, it wouldn't be any less traumatic either.
d) I'd definitely say that the Pizza Incident (having come to the stupidly erroneous conclusion that you and Acacia were living in Amercia) if only because I actually went and researched US pizza prices and compared them to Acacia's statements.
