Game Progress
Ratchet and Clank 2: I'm up to Planet Grelbin now. Planet Snivelak ended up being tough enough that I ended up doing some arena battles on Planet Joba to earn enough money to buy the Electrosteel Armour. Suffice to say, that 66% damage reduction bonus has made quite the difference!

Game Progress
Ratchet and Clank 2: I'm up to the final area now. However, I won't be starting it until I've cleared out all the other planets for their secrets. I also ended up defeating the secret boss: Swamp Monster II. It was a very easy fight actually and was still far less frustrating than trying to get the Nanotech from Planet Dobbo (that one took several, frustrating attempts).

Ratchet and Clank 2: Travelling to previous planets to look for Platinum Bolts. So far, its been smooth sailing except for this one on Planet Smolg. I have to use the third Levitator to fly left and upwards onto this platform but so far I've yet to succeed. I'm also trying to get the Nanotech Boost on Planet Snivelak, though that one is far less frustrating than the one I obtained on Planet Dobbo.

Ratchet and Clank 2: I obtained all the Platinum Bolts except for the ship related ones that require me to go through all the rings. I also obtained the Nanotech Boost on Planet Snivelak, obtained a few Skill Points and cleared most of the final area (except the final boss)

Ratchet and Clank 2: I've tried and failed to get the Platinum Bolts from the ring missions. Honestly, they're an exercise in frustration because of the controls, several of the rings requiring sharp turns and how the game expects you to go through all of the rings just to obtain the bolts and still win the race. Worst of all, the game itself doesn't even tell me how many bolts there are in each planet despite doing so in the previous game.

At least I can try and earn some of the remaining skill points, so it at least feels like I've accomplished something.

Ratchet and Clank 2: Earned a few more skill points, got enough bolts to buy the Carbonox Armour (which will make Challenge Mode easier should I choose to try it out), fully upgraded my ship and finally obtained the Platinum Bolt from the race mission in the Feltzin System. Now all I have to do is obtain the Platinum Bolts from the ring missions in the Deep Space Disposal Facility and Gorn, and hopefully that should be all the Platinum Blots collected.

Ratchet and Clank 2 was released in 2003 and it turns out that Gorn is also a name of an alien race from Star Trek who first appeared in 1967. So yes, the meaning of Gorn seen on TV Tropes existed long after both of those examples.

Ratchet and Clank 2: I finally got the Operate Heavy Machinery skill point. I only need to get the Nano to the Max! and Weapon Envy skill points, though the latter will have to wait until Challenge Mode because the Clank Zapper is only available there. Also still trying to get the Platinum Bolts from the ring missions, in the case of Hrugis Cloud, I'm making progress and I might be able to complete that one if I keep trying.

Ratchet and Clank 2: I obtained the Platinum Bolt from the Deep Space Disposal Facility ring mission and also found one on Planet Damosel. So far, I have 32 Platinum bolts out of 40. I'll need to complete the ring mission on Planet Gorn, and also return to Planets Maktar Resort, Barlow, Boldan, Tabora, Joba, and Grelbin to see if there are any Platinum Bolts that I missed.

Ratchet and Clank 2: I've managed to get 38 Platinum Bolts now. I just need the ones from Planet Gorn's ring mission and I think there's one on Planet Tobara that I might've missed. Hopefully, I'll be able to find them all.

Game Progress
Ratchet and Clank 2: I completed all the ring missions, and despite everything I still only managed to get 39/40 Platinum Bolts. I decided that if I couldn't find it despite looking for it, I would move onto the final boss. It wasn't too challenging and I decided to go back, see if I could get the last bolt and also buy the Weapon Mods before fighting the final boss again.

After that, I started the game on Challenge Mode and am so far up to Planet Barlow.
