Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom: I'm speeding along quite well, I've cleared out most of Downtown Bikini Bottom (except for that one that requires the Cruise Bubble so that one will have to wait), completed the boss fight against Robot Sandy and also finished Goo Lagoon (except for one mission I haven't found yet).

I'm currently at the Mermalair and this is where the game starts to get more challenging. So far, I'm in this room which requires me to activate various parts of a rolling ball puzzle to obtain the Golden Spatula. Suffice to say, it's more difficult that most of the previous Golden Spatula tasks up until this point.

Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom: Did a few more attempts of that accursed rolling ball room and decided to cut my losses and leave it. I couldn't find the final button in the Mermalair either so I returned to Bikini Bottom. I then decided to take on Rock Bottom, which is challenging but not overly frustrating. After clearing most of the missions except for a single task, I ended up going to Sand Mountain.
A nice easy level with the only real challenges being the time trials. Once that's done, I go on to fight Robo Patrick, who is a step up in difficulty compared to Robo Sandy.

After beating all of that, there's some other things for me to do such as finding more Golden Spatulas in Bikini Bottom and returning to Downtown Bikini Bottom to get the last Golden Spatula there now that I obtained the Cruise Bubble. Getting the Golden Spatula in the Krusty Krab seemed like it would be extremely difficult until I talked to Bubble Buddy and obtained the Cruise Bubble power.
Then that mission wasn't as bad because I could use the Cruise Bubble to take out the robot spawning machine and the Sleepy Time robots from a distance.

I also completed Spongebob's Dream which was quite challenging. The main points of interest were me defeating all the robots in Mr Krab's Dream which causes the Golden Spatula to appear and then dying. Because the Golden Spatula is unlocked, I didn't have to redefeat the robots thankfully. Despite the other dream areas being challenging, Patrick's Dream is a black void where he just gives you the Golden Spatula. Sadly there was no reference to the Spongebob episode where he rides on a coin operated seahorse ride. Oh well. Additionally, Patrick was supposed to have a full dream level, but it went unused in the final game.

After clearing Spongebob's Dream, I decide to get on with Kelp Forest, figuring that it would be easier. For the most part, the level is somewhat easier, though getting all 3 Stone Tikis as Patrick was annoying. Getting the energy crystals for Barnacle Boy is far easier, though it involves backtracking throughout the Kelp Forest cave and switching between Spongebob and Patrick to progress through the area.

Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom: I've beaten this game too. I finished up the last of the Kelp Forest missions, which involved the hardest slide mission/time trial in the game, finding the last power crystal and the last few campers. After that I decided it'd be right to finish the Flying Dutchman's Graveyard area before the final boss fight and managed to get most of the Golden Spatulas aside from the goo related ones.

After all this, I decide to challenge the final boss. Spongebot Steelpants is a fight that isn't too easy or too hard and is somewhat easier than Robo Patrick. Attacking them isn't too tough because they are a large target with multiple weakpoints. Their partner Robo Plankton on the other hand is annoying because they're a smaller target that moves away from the Cruise Bubble, meaning that I have to get up close to them to ensure that the Cruise Bubble will actually hit them.

After a few tries against Spongebot Steelpants, I have go inside them to finish the fight against them. The second phase has no checkpoints and no way to regain health (whereas the first phase has underwear in abundance to regain HP), which means that getting hit by enemy robots or Robo Plankton himself is a pain to deal with. After a few attempts, the final boss fight is finally done and I've beaten the game. I don't think I'll getting the rest of the Golden Spatulas, though I could come back to this some day.

Vampire Night: I couldn't get The Sword of Etheria to work despite having done so at least once, so I decided to play this game instead. I beat this game's Arcade Mode within a few hours because the game is really short. I also decided to try out Special Mode which consists of taking on missions through several of the game's levels.

Shadow of Memories: This game is... interesting. It starts out with Eike being killed and the premise of the game is trying to avert his death in each chapter. So far, I'm up to Chapter 4. The previous chapters involved using time travel to gather a small crowd in the town centre to avoid assassination, going through a series of events just to prevent a tree being grown in the past to avoid assassination and realizing that Homoculus (the strange voice who gave you the power to travel in time) is capable of sending you back in time.

Shadow of Memories: I'm now at the final chapter.
Chapter 5 involved dealing with sea hare poison after eating dinner, requiring me to go back in time to convince Eike's boss to turn his house into a library instead of an art museum (which also means that Eike still gets to keep his job in this altered timeline) just so Eike can learn how to cure sea hare poisoning
Chapter 6 is a short, breather chapter where I help a movie maker by giving him ideas for his next movie and I almost wish I could've told him that the main character uses time travel to take over the world. Oh well.
Chapter 7 has Eike get pushed off the top of a tower and averting this by obtaining a rope that is strong enough to hold his body weight. Then it turns out that his boss was blackmailed into committing attempted murder on his employee.

Shadow of Memories: Completed Chapter 8 and ended up with Ending C, the one where Eike lies on a road to appreciate the beauty of life and gets ran over. Fortuantely, the game's Extra menu is courteous enough to show how many endings there are, and also unlockable trailers. I tried to push for one of the other endings but I didn't get anywhere. Oh well, I can always try again later.

Shadow of Memories: I pushed ahead and managed to get most of the other endings (except Ending E, but I can get that one later).
Ending A has Dana stay in 1584 while Margarete gets to stay in 2001 with Eike, and Homonculus ends up dead due to being hit with the broken fragments of the Digipad after using an illusion of Dr. Wagner to convince Hugo to call off his plans before taking him to an unknown place.
Ending B has me learn that the fortune teller is actually Hugo's mother resurrected and rendered immortal by her method of resurrection. Also I get to take Margerete back and Eike decides to go drink at a bar after everything he's been through.

Endings D & E require me to not tell Margerete that she might be Eike's ancestress which also changes quite a few cutscenes. I also decided to save Miriam in Chapter 6 this time around, though the mission requires her to die twice before I can properly save her.
Ending D has teenage Hugo and Margerete erased from existence due to Eike returning to the past to burn Dr. Wagner's research notes, causing the timeline to be altered. It also reveals that Dr Wagner's experiment ended up with Homoculus sealed away, though not without him losing his memories with the implication that he'll become Eike Kusch in several centuries time.

Shadow of Memories: I managed to get Ending E this time, and out of all the endings (aside from the EX Endings), I'd say that this one is my favourite, mainly because I managed to get Dana back to the present and get Hugo to call off his revenge plan. After getting all the endings, the title screen music changes and I can now get the Extra Endings if I choose a new set of dialogue choices at the beginning (i.e "Am I dead, again?" and "Oh, Homunculus.").

During this Extra route, Eike remembers things from the previous timelines, allowing him to obtain the Philosopher's Stone early. With this in mind, I could go back to the 1500s and save Margereta and Hugo's mother by convincing Dr. Wagner to use the stone to create an elixir, saving Helena's life and creating a better timeline for everyone. Eike is erased from existence and ends up reborn in a new timeline. The other version of the EX ending requires me to go back in time, then return to the present to die, allowing me to kill Homunculus by throwing the Philosopher's stone (aka his past form) at him, causing them to be erased from existance. After that, it ends the same way as the other EX Ending, with Eike being erased from existence and being reborn in a new timeline.

Shining Tears: Tried this game out and I found it to be boring with the mechanics being a clunky mess. The story so far seems cliche and while the idea of the main character becoming more violent because of the Twin Dragon Rings does seem interesting (Caim from Drakengard surely could've benefitted from being allowed to talk for longer than the first level), it wasn't enough to save my perspective of this game. Life is too short for playing games that aren't fun.

Nano Breaker: Played this one yesterday. It seems cool, though it frustrates me that bosses require me to use combo finishers to end the fight, and they're unwieldly to use. It took me a while to finish off the first boss because of this. It turns out that if you die, the game sends you all the way back to the first level unless you use a save point (which I couldn't find). Suffice to say, I didn't even make it to the second boss thanks to these poor design choices and decided to cut my losses by playing a different game.

Ghost Rider: I forgot to write up my progress on this game yesterday. To sum it up, I completed the first three chapters which consist of two types of missions: Ground Missions which play like a mix of God of War and Devil May Cry and the Bike Missions which involve dealing with enemies, jumping over ramps and sliding up walls.

I also completed Chapter 4, which takes place in a city and ends with a boss fight in a church. Racking up combos is actually rather fun, and the game always gives enough Souls so that I can always upgrade Ghost Rider's powerset or buy some bonus content. Not to mention that it's always amusing to watch Ghost Rider go full ragdoll every time I fail a section in the bike missions.

Ghost Rider: I completed the game! Chapter 5 involves me going into an abandoned carnival. This means new enemy types, which yes, does involve clowns. No surprise there. At this point, enemies become HP sponges that are best sniped off with hellfire. In addition, it's far shorter than expected despite various attempts to pad things out (i.e Carnival Return being a reversed version of Route 666, V-Ranked Barriers being given to the most annoying enemy type in the game), and the ending is rather disappointing. After Blackheart is defeated, I was hoping for a final chapter where Ghost Rider returns to hell and confronts Mephisopheles himself for the final battle instead of the game just ending after Blackheart.

After beating the game, I unlock several cheat codes and some playable characters (Blade, Ghost Rider 2099 and Vengeance). Unfortunately, you choose a different character, your stats don't carry over to a new playthrough.

Genji: I was considering playing God of War, but I figured why not play this one. This game has one of the most beautiful graphics I've ever seen in a PS2 game, which is quite impressive, and got me to consider the idea that I could live a quiet life in a place surrounded by nature. Anyway, the gameplay is simple but fun and I managed to get up to Chapter 3.

It's referred to as Genji: Dawn of the Samurai in the US, though it seems to be called Genji elsewhere.
