Cleaned Ratchet and Clank 2 with deodorant and a cloth. Made it as far as the loading screen which seems to loop infinitely. Played Sonic Advance 3 and made it to Twinkle Snow Zone.

King has hereby been disqualified from the match for stepping out of the ring.

Still no actual progress. Decided to clean Rachet and Clank 2 with deodorant and pulling out one of the wires on the back of the PS2 and putting it back in. Managed to get past the black screen only after the intro cutscene only to make it to an infinitely looping loading screen. God **** damnit.

So I was on TV Tropes and found a Steven Universe fangame called Flawed Crystal, a text based RPG made in the Another RPG engine. As it turned out, it was quite relaxing and it's a fun AU with good writing.

If it exists, chances are it has a fan-game.
Though a text-based RPG is not something I expected - I didn't even know those exist (other than tabletop games).

It seems to be just that game, though I might consider testing a bunch of other PS2 games to see if it applies to them too.

Might be the PS2 game scanning device thing (IDK what it's called) that's busted, or something, at a wild guess.

Finished Twinkle Snow's boss a few days ago while trying to get Rachet and Clank 2 working. I might need to use a disc cleaner for that one. Also Twinkle Zone's boss is the worst fight in the entire game because the whole takes place over a bottomless pit; however getting a gold rank on it is guaranteed due to the way the fight is designed.

Went back to Faded Crystals. Completed the Strawberry Battlefield and uncorrupted Ruby and Sapphire, which means that I now have Garnet in my party. Time to go back to The Great Desert, get payback on Son of Sun before taking on Pearl.

That'll be easy, I think? You'll need Sonic in the lead, IIRC.

Oh yeah, because I completed Toy Kingdom Act 3 with Tails and Knuckles, I think? Aside from that, I've got Chao hunting to do, then I have get these accursed keys just to play a Special Stage and if I mess up, I have to go back to any of the 3 acts to get the key again.

Yeah, can get annoying ,but I just cheat :p

Still in the Alpha Kindergarten. All my party members are Lv: 35 (i.e max level) though unfortunately every keystone except the green one is lost. I've tried going back to all the areas but I cannot re-obtain them. I did find a save editor online so I might see if that works.

Stayed up 'till 11:00pm just to finish the final dungeon of Flawed Crystals. So I took down The Wretched (Corrupted Amethyst) first, then The Lost (Corrupted Pearl) and then The Bound (Corrupted Garnet). I then took a detour to fight the game's superboss The Perfect Crystal which I completed on the first try, though I used up all my healing and revival items (posted a related image in the Gallery). After that I took down The Shattered (Corrupted Bismuth), The Derelict (Corrupted Bismuth) and The Drowned (Corrupted Lapis Lazuli).

After that, the final boss. I really enjoyed the writing and end was very heartwarming. Totally worth staying up late just to complete it. After getting the best ending, I decided to tell Garnet I wanted to go to Homeworld which leads to another ending.
