Yet another thread... this one, related to Final Fantasy...
Apparently Final Fantasy VII will get a PS4 remake.

If I were to get into the Final Fantasy gameplay, what recommendation can I get of where to start? it can range from the nostalgic consoles to the modern PC, but avoid modern consoles please.

I suggest to start from FFVI, FFVII or FFX and then FFX-2. I think only VII on the PC can be obtained by Steam and Humble Store and an enchanced version of FFVI can be played on the GBA.

My friend Melita happens to be a huge fan of Final Fantasy. While she thinks that Final Fantasy 4 is the best, I disagree. I mean, Kefka is one of my favourite fictional characters. I even tried to make Melita laugh with my best Kefka impression. It was so bad.

I don't know. What I do know is that I've played Final Fantasy X and enjoyed it. (And yes, I had to fight Sinspawn Gui 3 times due to a glitch where the cutscene after freezes the game. Thankfully, I managed to get the solution for that problem and the rest of the game went smoothly).
Oh yeah, and the Omega Ruins are frustrating. One time, I managed to beat Ultima Weapon (who is easy) and then turned back and had the misfortune to encounter Spirit and Black Element. The next thing I thing I know, my part end up killing each other due to Berserk, causing me a Game Over. To add insult to injury, after I took the disc out of the PS2, it fell at the back of my Game Drawer, forcing me to move it back to retrieve the disc.
Also the Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released on March 3rd 2020.

Godsister was hunting for enemy #121 in the Saronia catacombs (Final Fantasy III), in the room with the pretty blue rug...
... since last month, and she still hasn't encountered it before end of October.
What, does it have an encounter rate of 1%?

Still searching for enemy 121 in FF3...
I like Dissidia more. Wish it included characters from the FF spin-off games like Larkeicus and Sherlotta (Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time). Eh, probably in a prior Cycle, and killed by manikins. :s
Terra and Yuna are my favourites, along with... Squall. (What, you expected a third female character? :p )
Though, apparently Dissidia duodecim has just the one DLC thing, and there were plans for more that went nowhere? Modders probably went and took advantage of that space, haha...
Firion's voice sounds a lot like Ichigo Kurosaki's (from Bleach), though... And Warrior of Light and Squall's voices seem familiar, too.
