Title: Square Enix games
Post by: Bloom Leigh Seymour on 09 September 2019, 20:13:47
Talk about Square, Enix or Square Enix games that don't get their own thread, here!

I hate those walls in The World Ends With You. Really? Get Joshua to a high enough Bravery for four Natural Puppy stuff, AND getting the Yen neccessary?

Not cool, people.

Also can't beat the final boss of E.V.O. - Search for Eden. Charlotte and Yui tried, so I've also tried. Alas, not gonna be easy...

THE BOUNCER!
Man, that game's great. Even if all the characters have ragdoll physics. Survival Mode is hard as hell though, even with (Awakened) Dauragon C. Mikado. Though it's only 10 stages long, and I can easily crush the first few stages because Awakened Dauragon's attacks are so powerful. Then I get to Stage 7 and it gets far more difficult. It's easy for the robot enemies to deal large amounts of damage, or for the dog enemies to gang up on you. But hopefully, I can defeat and unlock Black Hooded Sion...

SaGa 2/3 related, but does anyone know what's new on a New Game + and/or Hard Mode?

I've never played any of the SaGa games so no. I might get SaGa Frontier II someday, though it may not happen.

Finally started TWEWY Another Day, so...

What to do first?
Shop 'til Neku and Shiki drop?

You could do that. Level grinding is also a good idea, considering the difficulty of the enemies (and Panthera Cantus). Good luck with Pork City, Bloom. :3

Just keep in mind, that throughout Pork City, you'll have to deal with brand restrictions. Also, one of the pigs can only be killed by closing your DS screen then opening it again.

Well, Shiki's keeping those flaming red knee-highs. Regeneration is a good ability.

I think... maybe getting all secret reports would be best, before taking on Another Day: Pork City.

Wait, close a DS SCREEN to make bacon out of a piggy?
...
Eh. Emulators have a way to do that, too. :-/

You want to obtain all the Secret Reports? You'll be fighting a lot of Pig Noise then; at least you'll be getting some rare pins in the meantime.
Also to defeat the sleeping Pig (Pig Samba) in Joshua, Day 7, you do have to close the DS screen.

If I may ask, do you own any physical DS games or are all of them emulated?

Bright side: level grinding, even if slow and tedious. :)

All emulated. :-/
Charlotte did get an actual DS game once (I think 2010?), but she gave it away to a friend who had a DS.
Don't know what game, though.

This was back in pre-Trump US.

So no actual game consoles? Oh, that's a shame. Hopefully, you'll get to enjoy an actual game console some day.

As do I...
It's sad, but I'm gonna make do with what I have.

Besides, seeing any cut content through the use of cheats is a sometimes fun thing.

Though, I take care not to cheat unless absolutely, critically necessary. Like game-breaking bugs.

I know, but at least you have your sisters. And also Kim. :3
Regarding cheats, I own an Action Replay for PS2 and DS, though my younger self foolishly deleted all the data on my DS one. The PS2 Action Replay still works, and I don't use it unless it's necessary.

Wish copy-pasting from PC to phone or AR device is a thing.

And Japanese text from a wandering NPC.
Did they... simply not translate it? :-/

Give it a few years and it might actually be a thing.
Regarding the Debug Mode, how much fun did you have with it?

Oh, so no custom boss fights yet? It's funny, I remember that videos exist of custom boss fights in MegaMan Battle Network. Then again, modding can be a wonderful thing. If there's no Florita brand, then just mod on in. Who knows, perhaps you can make a TWEWY Lunar Shadow mod?

Eh.
The World Ends With Serenity.
I'm no programmer.
I have zero motivation to learn.
Besides, TWEWY LS would be darker and edgier.
Maybe even M-rated, like with Ace Attorney 5 (there's a reason for that, I hear).
Serenity gets five weeks. Five partners (Shinica, Ilina, their future husbands - the perfect matches).
The big bad? Warwick, Serenthan God of Death.

Plus, after the game clear, you get to pick any partner character as the main character.

But then, the bonus boss is from Kingdom Quest XVI Remake.

That's KH, DQ and FF combined.

I take it that the secret boss is supposed to The Estark of Masters Omega?
Though a bonus dungeon would be nice, taking place in a parallel version of the main game world; it'd also have a powerful superboss at the end.

Then Purple Karjam flies in, hits Clark Kent with his Jesus Punch, and then becomes the game's resident superboss. So far, he's impossible to defeat and any methods to defeat him tend to get patched out.

Cut to Squeenix saying "NO." in a deep booming voice and doing the impossible.
Then Purple Karjam is replaced by Absolute Virtue (from Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia), who is near impossible to defeat. Purple Karjam then flies away, threatening to send the Karjamian Military to destroy Square Enix.

What if there is no Kingdom Hearts IV or The World Ends with You 2, because the next game in both series will be one and the same. A crossover, if you will.

Cut to Final Fantasy 16 turning out to take place... in that FF movie's world.

Incidentally, I'm wondering how Rhyme'd battle in TWEWY.
Beat gets his skateboard, Joshua... well, he has his powers, and Shiki has Mr. Mew...

Rhyme? The other confirmed Players? We never know... :(

I hope one of them used a flowery power.

I wonder how the main characters in TWEWY would work as party members in Kingdom Hearts IV? The Kingdom Hearts III: Re Mind DLC comes out on Winter 2019-2020, so who knows, maybe Sora will get to visit Shibuya, considering that the fictional video game Verum Rex takes place there as does The World Ends with You.

It's Latin for "True King" and is found in the Toy Box world. It's main character is Yozora who appears in Kingdom Hearts III's secret ending along with The Master of Masters.

Granted, the Latin language does have a lot of meanings, much like any other language. So perhaps if Verum Rex were real, it'd have Regnum Animus as a fictional game?

Trying to find a Boss Noise so that I can finish day 3's requirements off.

I'd love one that can remember EVERY detail. Like what I was like when I was 2, or how to recruit Katida in Infinite Space (too late now), or each and every item's name in Final Fantasy III-DS. Just random examples...

Yeah, it's kinda hard to get information on wikis sometimes. As such, you'll probably have to contribute to them by adding information. Besides, the Dragon Quest Wiki's gotten much better since I contributed it.
Though I'm sure if you had a computer, editing Wikis (i.e Lunar Shadow Project Wiki) is something I can see you doing.

Trying to get navboxes is a real pain. -_- If I could properly create one, it'd make navigation so much easier.
A £50 Pin doesn't sound too bad. Perhaps if you sell it, you get £50? And you'd also have £500 Pin, a £5000 Pin and a £50,000. Though Brexit may reduce the worth of these pins.

Speaking of 999, Blue Dragon Awakened Shadow allows the player to have 2 skills that always deal 999 damage: Assualtus and Dragorus. Really useful for the harder superbosses such as Omega Dragon, Destroy and Arcane Dragon.

Taurus Fire SP can be found in Echo Ridge, though he only appears as a random encounter (use SearchEye so he'll be more likely to appear).
I haven't defeated Apollo Flame because I haven't gotten all 150 Standard cards in Star Force 2 yet. To get the medals, you need to have beaten the game, beaten Apollo Flame, gotten all Standard Cards, gotten all Mega Cards and all Giga Cards.
I hope to find all 3 Sigma Bosses and win against them. Sirius Σ is found in the Orbital Base, Apollo Flame Σ is found in Black Hole Server 2 and Moon Destroyer Σ is found in Noise Wave 3. Beating them gets you the Sigma Star, allowing you to find Crimson Dragon Σ in Outer Astro Wave 1/2. He's really tough so be careful.
