The higher the tier, the more MP it costs.

Basic elemental affinities have spells already.

Ten tiers in all.

Tier 0:
Spells that do NOT have multiple tiers, such as "Acidic Bubble" or "Lunar Scythe" or "Scan". Spells with two or more words generally fall here, with rare exceptions.

Tier 1:
Spells here have two or more tiers, like "Fire" and "Death".

Further tiers get a prefix OR suffix.

Tier 2:
Prefix: "Kilo"
Suffix: "ra"
"Fira"; "Kilodeath", "Ultimara"

Tier 3:
Prefix: "Mega"
Suffix: "ga"
"Firega", "Megadeath"

Tier 4:
Prefix: "Giga"
Suffix: "ja"
"Fireja", "Gigadeath"

Tier 5:
Prefix: "Tera"
Suffix: "za"
"Fireza", "Teradeath"

Tier 6:
Prefix: "Peta"
Suffix: "(e)xa"
"Firexa", "Ultimaxa", "Petadeath", "Lightexa"
Basic elemental spells end here.

Tier 7:
Prefix: "Exa"
Suffix: "ma"
"Exadeath", "Meteorma"
Few handfuls of spells.

Tier 8:
Prefix: "Zetta"
Suffix: "ha"
"Zettadeath", "Meteorha"
Only a handful of spells.

Tier 9:
Prefix: "Yotta"
Suffix: "ya"
"Yottadeath" (kills all life on the planet)
"Neteorya" (deals apocalyptic levels of damage)
Only THREE known Tier 9 spells.
