Where do Hortons go upon death?
« on: 27 April 2016, 10:55:38 »
People tend to die when they get killed, without being the true self or a shadow.; Hortons are probably no exception (except maybe that Svetlana's descendant who revives only once apparently).

Being that the female (?) Hortons are Valkyries, I wonder: do they go to Valhalla or someplace like that?
Astrum of Fate is officially canceled… and so is Dragon Riders, for that matter. Oh, and Team Neo Dragon Rise is disbanded…

Nobody wants me around, so I'm just better off dead, aren't I…

Rest in peace, Shane Neumann (25/02/1996 - 30/08/2016)…

I reckon they go to the Realm of the Deceased as seen in the good ending of LS, where they get to sit in a box-shaped room with a giant heart in it, idly chatting with Evan and Ladislaw until the end of time.

Although that sounds rather lame, so I hope it gets expanded on in LSX, LSY, or LSZ.

I'd also like to hear more about Valkyries, I know they can fly but that's about it.

EDIT: According to the LSY thread, the fallen rest for all eternity in "Paradjis".

Yeah, I see references to stuff :P

(click to show/hide)

Also, male Hortons can likely be Valkyries, though they cannot turn into Valkyries just by marrying Hortons. So Evan O'Neill remains human even after marrying Valkyrie Horton (the Valkyrie).

I reckon they go to the Realm of the Deceased as seen in the good ending of LS, where they get to sit in a box-shaped room with a giant heart in it, idly chatting with Evan and Ladislaw until the end of time.
Is it a dream, perhaps? Or maybe it's merely another area?

Although that sounds rather lame, so I hope it gets expanded on in LSX, LSY, or LSZ.
The explanation will come some day. :P

I'd also like to hear more about Valkyries, I know they can fly but that's about it.
Start a thread with all your Valkyrie-related questions in this board, and I'll do my best to answer them. :)

EDIT: According to the LSY thread, the fallen rest for all eternity in "Paradjis".
"Or so it is said", as of a few minutes ago :P

Still, plot twists exist and Paradjis could turn out to be a lie, instead being the Illusory Gaol. (I think "gaol" is a synonym for "jail"?)
Or it could be where those Bute guys come from; think about it, a village of Bute.

Now, to answer the question: I haven't thought about it, yet; I planned that the souls of good guys go to the Dimension of Luminance while the souls of bad guys go to the Dimension of Regret. The souls of people who are neither good or bad wind up in the Dimension of Oblivion, while the souls of those who died before they turned six years of age end up in the Dimension of Naught.

Nobody has ever reached the Dimensions with a Map System; until the 9th decade people believed that the four "Dimensions" are in the sun of Serenth.

Maybe I'll add a fifth Dimension for the Hortons? I'd like to hear your thoughts, guys~

Okay, I've decided to stick with "Paradjis". However, there are two of them: the second one is the fake one. The first one? It's a place of fluffy, impassable clouds that cannot be accessed except through death.

I'm thinking… the Paradjis where the dead end up? It could be a planet that's extremely far away from the farthest confirmed planet in Serenth. (Essentially located at the end of the galaxy. Assuming galaxies have an ending point and a starting point.)

But that's my thought; I'll let you guys decide whether or not it's a planet or something else.

I like the idea of it being a planet.

I think it should be 80 times further out than the furthest known planet, have a diameter 27 times that of Newerth, and have 16 moons made of ice.

That's just my idea though ^.^

Sounds like it's a "realm" instead, opposite to Niflheim.

And Valhalla is basically being in limbo?

So, we have a heaven, a hell, and a limbo, I think?

Aren't Heaven/Hell/Limbo/Purgatory Christian concepts though? As opposed to being Norse concepts like Valkyries, Niflheim and Vahalla?

More like those equivalents, if I had to guess.

I mean, Paradjis isn't exactly a Norse thing like Valhalla and Niflheim.

I also have to add, though, I think Niflheim was more Ginevra's addition, rather than Ariana's or Kim's.

(Ginny's thought up books Aidan Flamberge might read, in her free time in 2017 and 2018.)

Purgatory... don't think Serenth has an equivalent?

Ginerva, eh? So I take it she's taken inspiration from T.E.D in order to think up those books?

Maybe?

There's about 270 "books" (not even half-written) apparently.

Come to think of it, he probably had a lot of interesting documents I'd like to see, if only for historical purposes. But where does Ginerva get the time to write all of those books, really?

Free time on days off.
She even tried her hand at modding (but got too busy).

Her mod focused on a thief from No Town, Tirahnys, Newerth.
The "Dark Scarlet Night"... but apparently, things go haywire from there. I believe that's where the planet Xenoa comes from ("Xenoa" is Newerthan for "rebirth").

Right, is it possible to post this mod here? I take it that she probably works part time, hence all the days off.
