He probably has, alongside all the other planets which don't behave as normal, including Iquarox.
Anyway, concerning the day/night cycle of that Dyznoir planet, on an actual planet, tje day/night cycle's represented by how fast it's turning and what particular part of it is facing towards the sun at any particular moment (this also explains timezones.). The reason why Winter days are shorter than Summer days on our planet is because it's actually rotating on an angle from the sun.
With that said, because you implied the day/night cycle is consistent accross all regions and are Winter-like, that probably means sunlight works a bit differently for that planet. Perhaps there's something within its atmopshere that would've caused such day/night cycles across the globe?
