Serenity, when she turns 20, will have a blue left eye, and will be able to see things that can't be normally seen (like invisible stuff), control Water and Cuteness (two Serenthian elements), and can bring certain cards to life and thus cause actual harm with them (though it has to follow the official rules of the games the cards are from).
She will also be able to fly but that's not related to the Taint or the Valkyrie Wings. (I forgot to add the reason during the Alexis boss fight. o.o )

Shinica, when she turns 20, will have a green left eye, and will be able to breathe underwater indefinitely as well as being able to swim in lava/magma without being harmed. She can also control Fire and Water (that's rather oxymoronic), and can master spells much faster than most people her age.
Like Serenity, she will also be able to fly but that's not related to the Taint or the Valkyrie Wings.
Her Taint awakens a few weeks after the events of Lunar Shadow.

Valerie, however, is about 10 years old, yet she has a double Taint. How this is possible is yet unknown; if people wonder about it enough, I'll have her be the protagonist of Lunar Shadow X. She has the ability to sense others' life force. How she manages to walk around without bumping into other things, I don't know yet.

Oh, and "Gateway to Ruin" rather than "Entrance"?

Also, will the "Ancient Ruin" area be full of bosses?
