Yeah, this is a thing as of now.

Weapons have levels, but the name varies by character (so Level 3 Crescent Moon or Rank 3 Crescent Moon is the same). Abbreviated to "WLv".

Characters ALSO get levels. This remains unchanged by name. Shortened to "Lv".

Why does the weapon's level name change by character? That seems like something that would confuse a lot of people, especially since there are games that rely on having multiple levelling systems with Rank and Level being separated.

Bureaucrats and red tape, I'd assume.
They probably can't decide on an official name so they're like, "eh, screw it, let 'em have cake and call it whatever they like, saves us time to go play anti-gravity golf or whatever".

Cycle is used in Apocalyptic Shadow. Someone could call it "muffin" if they'd like. :-/

What else?
Here's a less confusing alternative: Character level up normally (i.e Level Up! Serenity H. is now Level 25!) but weapons are ranked (Rank Up! The Tyranto Staff is now Rank 7!). Characters gain EXP by fighting enemies whereas weapons gain rank by spending Cion on them.

Reviews say that Metal Gear Lunar Shadow's mix of stealth and action is vastly superior to that of Metal Gear Vresun. The controls are also far smoother and not as clunky.

Lunar Matrix Shadow 5 is quite Serperior to all that. :P

I believe max weapon levels also vary by character - Serenity and Evan's able to reach Level/Rank 3, but S.D. can reach level 4.

The notes say the max weapon level is 5.

Zanpakuto, I'd assume, stay at level 1 sealed, level 2 in Shikai, and level 3 in Bankai, but I dunno...

More ideas!
- Bestiary. For every, say, 5% filled, a reward.
- A New Game + area where you can fight custom battles - you can pick which enemies to fight against. Even bosses (so x4 of a final boss could be possible, if a bit insane). This is optional, but might also be useful for item farming? Still unsure on that.
- Equipment sets. This can be beneficial or detrimental depending on the set.
- New Game + adds new enemies. These get their own Bestiary, rewards and all, for this reason. Textlimits.

Disclaimer: that "textlimits" thing is just to show I've reached the text limit for mobile mode. :'(

Anyway:
- Compendiums for items, weapons, maybe even characters. NG+ adds technical info like chance to inflict status effects and such.
- Music mode, unlocked by... saving the game. Tracks heard will appear; tracks not yet heard are not playable.
- The planet's ID is over 2000. (Newerth's is 3, IIRC.)

A custom battle arena doesn't sound too bad. Reminds me of the various MegaMan Battle Network videos where the player would be fighting multiple bosses at the same time. So it'd be there purely for challenge's sake. Hopefully, it'd have a secret boss.
Also if New Game + adds in new enemies, then I suppose it could be like Bravely Second's incorporation of New Game + into it's story. Or the Shin Megami Tensei games where there are multiple paths leading to different endings.

Right. Planet #2019 is this work's world; that's why I made its thread. (2001 and above are safe for this.)

Main protagonists... I was thinking a 21-year old brother and sister duo - human twins, the brother able to see Life Capsules but the sister isn't. He's a sorcerer, she's a thief (if we have jobs/classes here).

Or maybe the Sage Goddess of that planet, Quinessa Volage? She could be in old-fashioned outfits. (Older-fashioned than Harry Potter's aunt Marge, if need be.)

Eh, I'd rather have Serenity Horton back. She also has Shinica, Ilina and Repose as party members. Also job classes would be similar to Final Fantasy/Bravely Default.

Alfa's cool, make him an optional party member (with various guns from DOOM). Karjam is a secret boss. Defeat him, he transforms into his Supreme form. Defeat him and come back, he'll be replaced with Nega Green ParjamK (who Aurora had told me about) but only if you fufill several arcane conditions. Defeat him and get 100% completion, then go redefeat the True Final Boss (Lunar Shadow, Lunar Shadow Soul is True Arena only). After that, you'll have to fight Rainbow Nega Bloom. It's said that 1% of Lunar Shadow RPG players have found her, let alone defeated her.
Also, having all those past true final bosses back would be neat, if you have a list of them. But rumour has it that you can only fight them in the sequel if Vresun Ciraian Ruins is unlocked...

Hm...

The Hortons (and Valkyrie as well as her husband Evan O'Neill - which sounds more badass than Evan Horton) could be secret characters?

LS ZER0 has no true final boss (Evan dies fighting Aidan Flamberge), though LS has Invidia and Nemesis, who revive Valkyrie when defeated (Evan and his twin Areva get revived later in 2015).

And apparently Valkyrie has twins born in 2019 as well.
