There's a difference between fiction for the sake of fiction and great fiction. Anyone can make the former, but it takes the know-how on how to simulate life effectively in order for someone to create the latter.
I don't want details for the sake of there being details. Even in real life, things always have a reason, even if the thing in question is mundane or the reason behind it small. That, and there are details I want for the game which I don't want anything to contradict. If you have a problem with that, remember, my rulings as the game master are final, no matter how much everyone else complains.
Don't get me wrong, I still want the game to be in the best interest of everyone, but what's the point of spoilering everyone if they're not behaving in a disciplined manner? (Being spoiled is a reward for good behavior, not a right.)
Still, these characters in the RPG are from all over the place. Pteri's character was beautifully crafted, but then you just had to take the dump out on him because it doesn't work due to Karjamian physics and what not. It's FICTION, it's not supposed to be realistic, if you want a sense of realism try non-fiction then.
