Okay, my mind is so full of ideas, I decided to make a text file for a hypothetical remake of "Terminus", titled "Terminus TRUE" (that "TRUE" should be an acronym, but not sure for what).

There would be several sectors more (oh, at least 39 + 6 lettered Sectors U to Z, currently) with 32 maps each.
Yeah...

But hey, just so long as I have some place to, well, type my ideas in, right?

I just love how ambitious you are and how full of ideas you happen to be. I'm sure TERMINUS is going to be very interesting once it's finished.

Myst Zone pulled a La-Mulana and is split into two sections: the Front (some areas seen in LS) and the Back (none of those areas have been seen yet).

The Shining/Blood Garden is in the Front, while its counterpart is the Corrupt Garden. (No, not the Oil Garden. :p )

I'll see if I can make them rough maps smaller. Like, one per sector.
Though it'll take some time, at this rate a 126x80 tile map in Booster's Lab is slowing things down to "lagging" levels. So Origin Cave: Central Cave will take a while. :-/

Not sure if it's an issue on my end, or an issue with the version of BL I'm using.

That said, I'm cutting the inaccessible areas (Christmas Town has a huge inaccessible area).

Currently, only 01, 05, 07, 08, and 12 have official names, which adds up to a Rank 33 Xyz Monster-- wait, wha?
But seriously, I can't wait to see the remaining maps' names. :3

...... Oh right. I finally made a rough map of the entire world of Terminus, including what Sectors X and Y would've been like. One problem: the file size is too large for my phone. :p

Cibryll's Space would have a lot of endless corridors, while the Scarlet Heights would have a staircase, and would be accessed from "Myst Zone: Valkyrie Graveyard". (No, it's not where they're buried. That's where they were asphyxiated to death, knowingly or not. Humans are okay there, though.)

Man... I think Way Big, but thankfully, I can't turn into one :p
Ah, that's a shame. Then again, filesizes can be a real pain sometimes. Cibryll's Space having endless corridors could be interesting. Would Kim Ethenarch show up there? (Probably not). Also more Myst Zone lore sounds nice.

So if I've got this right, Rings of Uranus leads into an original area. This area is connected to Rings of Uranus, Cirno Town, Flesh Zone: Gate, Cursed Warehouse T and Origin Cave: Cursed Gateway (which leads to Rings of Uranus).

Flesh Zone connects to Meteor Hallway, an original area and then Christmas Town. Christmas Town is then connected to Waters of Mars, Uranus Cavern, Cynthia's Lament and an original area.

I appreciate the complexity and I'm sure the Asterism of Solace will be one of the more memorable areas in this project.

... I know, why don't you pick three rooms from LS' castle (except Myst Zone or Entrance maps; no duplicate areas) and three rooms from one of my other past mods?
Just lemme know which rooms, and their AoS counterparts' names. Example,
  • Entrance TG (Lunar Shadow): Moonbase 52 (placeholder), Cynthia's Lament, Selene Stronghold, Moonly Rocks
(Using your names for the Entrance TG map for the example.)

Cibryll's Space... maybe it's a dev area, maybe not. :3
Maybe there's something cool at the CS: Terminus, maybe not. :3
Perhaps a boss, or not. :3

* :3 intensifies drastically, towering over the solar system *

  • Laboratory R (Lunar Shadow) : Meteor Hallway (While I wasn't too fond of Sycor's trap itself, I do think the room itself has potential to use it as it's main gimmick)
  • Servant Quarters S (Lunar Shadow): Rings of Jupiter (Though I understand that the entire room is just a lead up to Valkyrie X, it could use poison gas and falling rocks as a gimmick. Also a reference or two to Shadow of the Stars wouldn't go amiss. Also it's planetary symbol: ♃
  • Tower D (Lunar Shadow): Waters of Mars (I like the unique tileset and enemies. Also water stage and I think maybe a section that uses Tower D's bone tileset? Also planetary symbol: ♂)
  • Lumen Cavern (Obscuro Lumen Venenum Aeris): Uranus Cavern (I would've picked Chaos Angel but I haven't played that level so I picked the one I was familiar with.

To be honest, I really wanna have a few rooms of the Asterism of Solace based on areas from Solar Shadow 2, if @AuroraDash is okay with it.

I still haven't gotten around to downloading it. Really should change that. I got R29 airtime for my smartphone today, so...

Or is that cHAnGE? :p
I'm sure he'd let you but even then I think you're better off playing the game yourself to get a better idea of which rooms you really want. And if it makes you feel any better, I still haven't gotten around to playing Solar Shadow 2 either. Solar Shadow is actually very short so you could easily play it if you wanted to.

Sorry, clarification time:
The name boxes are coloured (and are shown with the TIMG hack). Wasn't easy getting the coordinates for the images right, but I did it somehow.

Also, regarding the Asterism of Solace area: I found info I forgot about.
The place resembles maps from other areas, like LS(Z)'s Entrance TG, but with a Grie'dyr Star tileset and new names/layouts.
Don't know if that'll help with the naming, but it's something, right? :)

As for the back-up... I have to find the CDs first. How the Niflheim I misplaced them is anyone's guess... :-/

Twin-post because I've finished the basic layout for the area map images.

The maps themselves aren't done yet; I'll do that as I finish the in-game maps, haha.

Wish I could add two more Sectors to the mod. But I'm sure that 121 maps are more than enough, haha.

Both would be completely original. The first would be named "Cibryll's Space", the second, "Scarlet Heights".

But I just put those ideas 'n' stuff in a text file, haha.

The TIMG Hack? I've heard of TSC+ but that's about it. That said, if all the areas in Asterism of Solace are areas from other mods with new names/layouts, then that's something at least. For the Entrance TG area, Moonbase 52 as a placeholder name. Or Cynthia's Lament or Selene Stronghold? Or Moonly Rocks? I'll figure it out once I know about the other rooms.

Anyway, RKS said that it shouldn't be possible to absorb a Valkyrie's Taint, unless it is the ability of a variant of the Taint.

(Though, she also says this can change if the Lunar Tierce Knights want it to change, so...)
Because you were busy with other things. Anyways, RKS's explanation makes sense and I'll accept it.

Er... Xydia is the girl on picture 4, with the reddish-bluish hair (two colors!) and the pink right eye and green left ete and the light blue top, darker blue miniskirt, black evening gloves, and black thigh-high boots with high heels.
She's on the edge of glory the middle platform.
Next to her is her redheaded husband, Ladislaw Smit (a Kazuma edit).
No Xyz or Sycor to be seen, haha. :p
I seem to have mistaken Xydia Horton for another character. In addition to getting her hair colour completely wrong. >:( Oh well, now that I've found the correct sprites, I'll see if I can edit them onto the wiki pages.

My computer randomly rebooting itself earlier today has led to me losing progress on the sprites for Jillian's casual attire.
That's progress.
(In infuriating me. :p )

Meantime, I'm having second thoughts about this, but then I end up with third thoughts and next thing I know, I've wound up having thirteenth thoughts...

... I think the Map System should be orange.
Like. Orange in colour, not lemon. :p

The physics hack works nicely. About as well as expected.

The starting cutscene takes a FEW cues from Umbrageous Light, but it's got its own dialogue instead.

Jillian's text box is pink. Night Queen's, purple.

Not sure how to depict the StageImage icons... I plan on having the Teleporter used here, so far.

Add in the characters I made for Dragon Riders and the other fictional works within Serenth, and that percentage goes way up, I'd guess... :o
