Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix: Lingering Will. More like, I still have the lingering will to continue this fight. I'm getting better through every failed attempt to win, but I'm now at the point where I can get Lingering Will down to half his HP or less. The A.I Roulette can make attempts frustrating, and the curse seals are never fun to deal with, but I'm getting better at guarding against attacks and taking my opportunities where I can get them.

The furthest I've gotten is when Lingering Will uses Wave Rider and starts casting Blizzaga. If I can overcome that, then I'm good enough to finally defeat the enigmatic soldier at long last.

MegaMan Star Force 2: It seems that I am finally in the right mentality for this. No overthinking, just doing. I only had to defeat Le Mu XA three times (with only one loss) and Rogue SX only took 2 tries this time, with my AntiSolo folder.

With Rogue SX, he moves fast and his attacks hit hard. Before I can actually damage him, I need to shoot down his barrier. Fokx-Fu 3 is useful in the beginning since it allows me to strike him without taking damage myself. In addition, having cards that inflict paralysis is useful because he's susceptible to that status effect in addition to Mad Vulcan 3 which can be used for an easy counter against him due to it firing multiple times.

After making to the halfway point, the fight gets easier because Rogue SX's attacks, though more powerful, are also far easier to predict. I got him to around to about 500HP and set off Break Time Bomb with full expectatation that it will fail. It did not. The bomb goes off and Rogue SX is deleted. Finally. MegaMan has his moral victory, Solo leaves and that's the secret ending obtained.

After this, Rouge SX can be rematched at Whazzap Ruins at any time, and thankfully you don't get a Game Over if you lose in those rematches. Which of course, makes the post-credit fight against Rogue SX all the more frustrating because it could've been a secret post-game match for maxing out your Brotherbands with your in-game friends and I would've been fine with that.

Makes me wish that the Balloon spells from 3D were in the game, too.

Ye gods that spell was useful against Julius--
I haven't even played Dream Drop Distance yet, though from I've seen, it's quite disappointing that Julius is the only superboss in that game. It would've been nice at least to have data rematches against Anti-Black Coat, Armoured Ventus Nightmare, Xemnas, Ansem, Seeker of Darkness (both forms) and Young Xehanort. Also a fight against Ultimacia, who personally I think would've fit the game's dream theme due to how trippy Final Fantasy VIII got during Time Compression.

Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix: Lingering Will. More like lingering attempts to keep my patience as I realize that the A.I Roulette is my least favourite thing about this game. If Lingering Will casts their Command or Command Change, then it's pretty much over. Most of my attempts were about getting into the swing of things again, with the only changes to my setup being that I have Decisive Pumpkin equipped to Final Form and Negative Combo, so that I no longer need Fenrir.

It's also really annoying whenever they use their Wave Rider attack repeatedly. Or that the options for using magic against him aren't too great. Almost makes me wish that this game had Aero and Graviga magic.

* hugs *

Looks like Dreamland… got its revenge for now.
It sure did. I suppose I'll prevail some other time.

I suppose I might as well join in on adding some more songs for King to rate, seeing as I am online at present.

Kirby Revenge of Dreamland: I am f-ucking done. The Riivolution patch is too buggy for my tastes. I had to defeat Mr. Dooter on Kirby's Adventure Wii because RODL Mr Dooter crashes when he uses his third attack. Also Onion Ocean is mostly water, and the Riivolution patch tends to crash if Kirby does anything in water, so that's out too. I am frustrated, and I know that's a stupid thing to be stressed over, considering that downloading the Wii and Gamecube games is the main priority and ROMhacks are just a bonus, but still, it's frustrating. Such a shame too, because what I was able to play was actually pretty fun and I look forward to playing this mod properly one day.

For now, I'm just to give up on this and return to playing PS2 games.

Kirby Revenge of Dreamland: I had to switch to Kirby Adventure Wii to beat Whispy Woods and I'm not proud of this. I also had to do that during Stage 2-2 because touching water in the Kirby RoDL Riivolution patch causes the mod to crash. The same thing applies to fighting the Fire Sphere Doomer in Stage 2-4 because the mod crashes when it tries to use of it's new attacks. And it's very likely that I'll have to do the same with Mr. Dooter, and honestly I'm suck of the bugs already.

I might as well try to get past the black screen glitch when I try to play the wfbs file on the Homebrew Channel so I can least play the mod as it was intended.

And come to think of it, I suppose I've got a few ideas for Super Mario Galaxy 2 levels:
  • Grandmaster Galaxy: The Grandmaster's Purple Coins (Collect all 100 Purple Coins in Grandmaster Galaxy)
  • Grandmaster Galaxy: The Ultimate Test in Double Time (All level obstacles move far more quickly)
  • Grandmaster Galaxy: Grandmaster Speed Run (Complete the level in 6:00.)
  • Boss Blitz Galaxy: Daredevil Throwdown (Defeat all 5 bosses with only one HP.)

Also some for a theoretical World 0:
  • Yoshi Trial Galaxy: Yoshi Fruit Extravaganza (Based off World 1, this galaxy is a remixed version of Yoshi Star Galaxy that requires the player has to use Yoshi's default, Dash, Blimp and Bulb forms to navigate several trials.)
  • Metal Leaf Galaxy: Poison with a Chance of Clouds (Based of World 2, this galaxy is a remixed version of Wild Glide Galaxy that is metallic in appearance and requires Mario to use the Cloud Mushroom to avoid falling into poison water.
  • Metal Leaf Galaxy: Springs in Your Step (The player uses the Spring Mushroom in this level, and the level ends in a fight with Metal Bugaboom.)
  • Beat Master Galaxy: Beat Block Remix (Based off World 3, this galaxy is a remixed version of Beat Block Galaxy that greatly expands on the level gimmick of it's original version.
  • Honeyhell Galaxy: Cosmic Clones in Honeyhell (Based off World 4, this galaxy is a remixed version of Honeyhive Galaxy with poison water and a red and black aesthetic.)
  • Honeyhell Galaxy: Daredevil Cosmic Clones (A harder version of Cosmic Clones in Honeyhell where the player only has 1 HP)
  • Honeyhell Galaxy: Emperor Lakitu Stakes His Claim! (The player must use tornadoes to navigate the area before facing off against Emperor Lakitu, a stronger version of King Lakitu.)
  • Moltenfrost Galaxy: Hot 'n' Cold Mayhem (Based off World 5, this galaxy is a remixed version of Shiverburn Galaxy which has has diverging paths requiring use of various power-ups to survive.
  • Moltenfrost Galaxy: Sun Baked Battle with Magmageist (The player must use the Fire Mario and Cloud Flower to make it to the end. The stage boss is Magmageist, a lava version of Bouldergeist.
  • Moltenfrost Galaxy: Bone-Chilling Battle with Bitter Burrows (The player must make full use of the Ice Mario and Rock Mario forms to succeed here. The stage boss is Bitter Burrows, an ice version of Major Burrows.
  • Castle Calamity Galaxy: Power-Ups on Parade (Based on World 6, this galaxy is a remixed version of Bowser's Galaxy Generator that consists of using every power up in the game. This stage has no boss.)
  • Championship Galaxy: Showdown of Cosmic Proportions (Defeat every single boss in the game in sequence)
  • Championship Galaxy: Daredevil Showdown (Defeat every single boss in the game in sequence with only 1HP)
  • Championship Galaxy: Showdown Speed Run (Defeat every single boss in the game in sequence in 15:00)

Super Mario Galaxy 2: Rather than return to Supermassive Galaxy, I decide to spend my remaining coins and some Star Bits in order to give myself 99 lives. After that, I spent a lot of attempts on completing The Perfect Run, and eventually managed to complete it. As a reward, I got Rosalina to hang out on Starship Mario so at least I don't have to recomplete Grandmaster Galaxy every time I want to talk to Rosalina.

I decided to then go to Boss Blitz Galaxy and refight the bosses there again. The only fight I had any real difficulty with was Bouldergeist but even then they went down easily.
