For obvious reasons, though, it contains spoilers about hidden items.

Each location, on its first entry, will be in its own post; I'll place links to those posts in this post when the posts exist.

The Castle thread (spoilers on the past, present and future areas, as it's in one map).
The Corrupt Moon, the Hallow Sun. Two areas made both of machinery and magic.
Those two areas, though not accessible in Lunar Shadow, still play a vital part in Lunar Soul.

One of the areas in the Tower will let one change the position of the two areas. Either the "moon" will be near the Top Floor and the "sun" near the top part of the Tower, or the other way around.
Two bosses can only be battled when the moon is on their side of the castle, and a third boss becomes visible if the sun is on its side (otherwise it's invisible; it's minions are still visible though).
That boss will act like the (normal) Core from vanilla Cave Story.

This will also relate to the three endings I've planned~

Though, whether it's mind shattering or not, I don't know.

I'm not ready yet to state what the planned plot twist is, but I'll probably post it later. It will tie in with two of the three planned endings.

(It'll most likely be a wall of text.)
Cue the wild and possibly ridiculous guesses?
Though those could be good for a laugh or two. :)



You mentioned three endings, so I take it that "leaving the castle" doesn't count as one?

When standing on the ground, the young witch's blinking animation has the staff vanish. This only applies when facing right; she holds the staff when blinking and facing left.



EDIT: ... either I'm imagining things or that yellow bar looks different than it did yesterday. :o

Assuming a bug report can be posted here:

Something minor, but some of the foreground tiles in the Entrance area (particularly the moving blocks) look weird, that's probably just me though.

Also, Frustration becomes more powerful, the more the Pokémon dislikes the Trainer.

First off, that would be pure evil and if I do decide to include an idea, I'd like the opinions of the players first.
Sycor is a powerful foe. I won't be able to change its HP since the first battle would also have the new HP, and it requires ASM hacking. Google it if you don't know what it is.
Gotcha.

Secondly, it has been suggested already and I'm considering it.
Oh. Was it someone at the Cave Story forums?

Thirdly, that's actually a good idea, though I have no idea where to begin.
Why not with the events that led up to the beginning of the mod, first?



Ooh, I've another idea - Level 1 Boss Mode.
Basically, it just makes all weapons go to Level 1 for boss fights.

... but that's most likely a silly idea, though people might enjoy challenging themselves.

I hope you're okay with me making this thread, Kim; I figured it might be helpful to keep track of your current ideas. Otherwise you could always merge it with one of the other threads, if possible.


Anyway, I have an idea: a bonus boss in the Tower area.
Sycor again, though this time more harder than the previous battle.
More HP, a new strategy, and... who knows, maybe a reward?
The arena, a hallway filled with death traps and very small platforms.
On the start of the battle, however.. those platforms vanish, save for one.
Reaching Sycor will be harder, though - it would require all bosses, save the "Ending Bosses" for the best ending, to have been defeated.
One of the ways to get closer to Sycor in the boss fight would be using those mini-cores as platforms.
While it may rely on fake difficulty as well, it still would be challenging.

I am, of course, probably as mad as a hatter here; you would need superb timing and high HP, not to mention powerful attacks at their best possible levels. But still, a challenge nonetheless.

If people could handle 3-HP runs of Cave Story, why not have a 3-HP run mode in the mod as well that removes the Life Capsules to prevent taking one by accident?

Also, what about Newerth's history? Historians might find it interesting, as might some other people (such as myself).

Feel free to use the ideas, if you'd like :)

To be honest, I feel like we need a randomized logo - randomized in that the moon changes phase.

For instance, one moment a full moon, one moment a new moon, one moment a half-moon, and so on.

So, the name's Luna. I'm an old friend of Kim, though after an argument we ceased to be friends; now I'm trying to reconcile.
People tend to do stupid things several times in my life, and arguing over a who purchased what first is one of those things.
(The reconciliation was successful... think on the 30th or 31st of January?)

I'm rather timid and shy, though I try not to make it seem obvious. I'm trying to stop being shy and timid.

So... that's about it for now.
