A general thread for Solar Shadow questions, so as to not bump the other threads; I hope you do not mind, AuroraDash.
Are you an Auror?
My serious questions:
Do any Solar Shadow (SS) characters have canon counterparts? From 1 to 4?
Also, when was Andrea born?
And, seeing as these Valkyrie taint things have different variations, what would hers be?

Technically no, I just pretend I am as part of my parents' convoluted tax avoidance scheme.
Do any Solar Shadow (SS) characters have canon counterparts? From 1 to 4?
A lot of canon characters later appeared in SS -- Selena Daria, Serenity, Aidan, Eron, Shinica, Valerie and Ataraxis all appear in various places in the SS universe. Ilina, Elektra, the three Goddesses and a few others were supposed to appear in SS3, but I never finished it so they didn't. Finally, Shinova, an obscure character who is canon but never appears in Lunar Shadow is briefly mentioned in SS4.
The only character to appear first in SS and later be confirmed canon in LS is Andrea, who appears as a friendly NPC in Selenic Shadow.
There are two characters who definitely do not have canon counterparts and who never will: Terrah, who doesn't exist in LS because he doesn't fit into the canon Horton family tree, and Mitsuru, a character who was accidentally created by Alfasketer due to confusion over some dialogue in the original Lunar Shadow. Technically, her canon counterpart is Hiranya, but in SS she and Hiranya both exist as separate characters.
Also, when was Andrea born?
I like to think of her as slightly older than Selena Daria -- so, most likely sometime in the early 1980s. So, she is in her early 30s at the time of Lunar Shadow, and roughly 40 by the time she appears in SS2.
And, seeing as these Valkyrie taint things have different variations, what would hers be?
The Valkyrie taint things only really apply to the Horton line, I believe. She doesn't appear to be related to them, so she doesn't really have one -- she only has the standard abilities of a Valkyrie.

So I told Kim what you mentioned about Revelyion, and she says she likes the idea.
But she asks if it uses TAC's ID (8) or Anegio's ID (9), or if it uses a new one (29) while the other two don't get used any longer, being kept for historic reasons.
(The continent ID is used in ID documents in Serenth...)

I imagine it would use a new one. However, people who already had continent IDs of 8 or 9 on their ID documents would get to keep those and wouldn't need to have them changed.

Alright! I think I already mentioned on CSTSF that she has permission to make them canon, so sure, go ahead :3
Because those were SS3 characters, they never really got fleshed out very much.
I envisioned Achcer (pronounced: ak-sher) as sensitive, kind and quiet. He would have psychic abilities, and attack using telekinesis.
His older sister Ava would be determined, competent and fierce, and fight with the Queen's Sword, which has some sort of magic powers but I never decided exactly what they were. They had special artifacts which could teleport themselves to each other.
Jeffie would be a cat-boy. While Ava and Achcer would be somewhat younger than Serenity, and Kenn and Kiarey would be quite substantially younger, he would be a little older than Serenity. He often wears leather jackets and always carries a hidden gun, although he'd be wearing something more comfy and flexible in the game.
I'm thinking Zerisse would be a reclusive and grumpy character, who has worked for Archon City for several decades. Might've been the boss of the Industrial Zone, or maybe a friendly NPC, or start off as one and become the other.
Kenn would've never actually appeared in person, but would speak to Alice Veilnight (the "main" character of SS3) at the beginning of the game and at various other points using a satellite. He would have access to powerful technology (including the satellite), which he probably borrowed from his family.
Kiarey would've been an erratic, damaged character -- not directly antagonistic, but with an unstable personality, perhaps caused by some incident at high school; it's probable that Kiarey, Kenn, Alice and Steve Leroi all went to high school together. She, along with Ava, would've appeared as friendly NPCs in the Coffee Shop -- a sort of hub area with no time limits.
I also had this idea that HP values in SS3 would be very low compared to SS2. Most damage would be 1HP, occasionally 2HP and sometimes an instant kill. Everyone would start with 4HP, which could be raised to 7HP by the use of well-hidden character-specific upgrade items:
Achcer:
Heart Jar (+1)
Bad Heart Jar (+2)
Alice:
Bottle of Wisdom (+1)
Bottle of Weird Speaking (+2)
Ilina:
Peach (+1)
Freeze Peach (+2)
Jeffie:
Mineral Water (+1)
Vegetable Water (+2)
(I never came up with ideas for Shinica or Steve)
A couple of other possibly planned SS3 characters I thought up and then did nothing with:
-- Jupiter Cross, the boss of the Inner Wall. Mostly implemented -- was the last thing I made before abandoning the game. Would've guarded the Steel Rod which you'd need to progress further.
-- Anya (no last name), probably a bonus boss. A minor Goddess, with powers of death and oblivion. Used to be human thousands of years ago. Serves as janitor to the other Goddesses.
Feel free to do whatever you like with any of the characters.

Speaking of Andrea: Blae (name comes from "blue") and her descendants live on the ocean planet Kahili, with Blae's daughter Jenaia having founded Cloudveil Kingdom on the Nagar continent. So canon-timeline Andrea would be born there...

1: I had never considered that before, but he's definitely on the older side -- 50s, probably?
2: it's in Frakticah, Jarodimia, in a desert district called Ashenland. However, sometime in the 2030s it becomes part of the Ralar Federation. Zerisse lives and works there, but she's probably not from there originally, given that there don't seem to be many other dark elves there.

I just realized today that Solar Shadow could still fit into the Solar Shadow timeline. In Solar Shadow 2, most of the endings have Serenity Horton die, and she's resurrected in Solar Shadow as Shadow Serenity.
It's also mentioned in Solar Shadow that the Curse of the Castle Masters went unbound from it's master and unleashed itself upon the world in 2022, the same year as Solar Shadow 2's events. It's possible that Terrah was right, and that the curse did gain a mind of it's own. The other events mentioned in Solar Shadow take place in 2023 and 2024, which would logically take place after Solar Shadow 2.
So if I had to guess, the timeline goes: Solar Shadow 2 (Ending 1) --> Solar Shadow --> Solar Shadow 4 (2059)
Which would mean that Solar Shadow could serve as an epilogue to Solar Shadow 2 where Shadow Serenity decides to get revenge on Selena for leaving her to die.
EDIT (10/10/23): OK, I'll admit that wasn't an actual question, but I figured this was as good a place as any to post this revelation here.
Maybe I should ask an actual question such as: Will you ever update the Solar Shadow duology (not counting Solar Shadow 4)?
