Report cards:
FAIL: F G H I Y Z (5 4 3 2 1 0)
PASS: S A B C D E (11 10 9 8 7 6)
DISTINCTION: not sure what this is for, but.
X O (13 12)

Z is the worst grade, and X is the best grade.

Kim confirms Serenity basically gets a Z for Newerthan.

Biology.
Chemistry.

Sciences.
-Might as well make them sub-subjects of Sciences.
-Same goes for Astrology being a sub-subject of Divination.
-Phys Ed usually includes first aid and practical medicinal health stuff in most places, so Medicine can be merged into that since it's not a proper MBBS kind of course.
-What the hecc is Eloquence?
---Fashion seems like it'd be a good thing to merge into that
-Cooking and Potions could probably go under one Culinary Arts subject, because you'd learn similar principles in both.
-Ciphers seems like it'd be a sub-subject of Technology.

Generally, the best thing to do with subjects (from all the systems I've been in) is to just have main overarching subjects with specialisations and optional topics within them. Cause then you can apply some interdisciplinary knowledge but also have your own unique set of specialisations.

From what I understand, each subject has its own teachers, so Chemistry, Biology and Sciences...

Three teachers right off the bat.
Really, it's good for so many jobs to be available and all...

Eloquence... the easiest subject ever. How to be polite. What not to do in front of royalty or presidents or whatever.

I know Aarah Caria or something is a Yes Town teacher...

Hopefully, Serenth's schools are well funded. I suppose Serenity learns a lot in school, doesn't she?

I wonder how good she is in Eloquence classes?

Departments!
Sciences seems like a very broad subject, since most high school teachers usually have a specialisation they teach. They might teach combined Sciences for lower secondary, but for upper secondary they usually teach what they're specialised in, like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Computer Science etc.

My school has this cool thing where you can get optional topics based on your subject, kinda like specialisations. So for example, if you take Chemistry, you can go a whole bunch of different ways. You can take Food Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Material Science, Chemistry of Energy Production, Biochemistry... the list could go on and on. Same thing goes for all the other subjects too! In Math, you can take the kind of math topics that would be more appropriate for your future career. You can take university-level Calculus if you're doing something science-based like Physics or Engineering, you can take higher Statistics if you're going into that kind of field, or Discrete Maths if you're doing Computer Science or Algorithms.

Basically, options are good. You can have multiple teachers for one subject then.

Welp.
That's this session of Serenth History 101 sorted.
For homework, you will be given an assignment to poke around for information on planet 2025. Good evening, class.

Kim's answers confirm the best subjects for the following characters:
Serenity: Eloquence
Shinica: Magic
Ilina: 14 best subjects
Repose: 11 best subjects

On some level, Serenity's best subject being Eloquence is funny, because being all prim and proper doesn't seem like something she'd be great at. At least Shinica's magic skills are up to snuff, so she'd probably be a great player character (hopefully Kim makes her playable in either Lunar Shadow or Apocalyptic Shadow Tower).

Kim did plan a "Lunar Shadow Reverse" where Shinica dreamed the events of LS.

Just with Serenity switching places with her, and Shinica not knowing what's going on (it takes place just a day prior to LS, I think?) and stuff.

Probably not canon...

Perhaps Kim could add Reverse Mode to Lunar Shadow. In that mode, the game world is mirrored, the difficulty is increased (with level layouts altered) and you play as Shincia. Also, there's a new final boss at the very end...
