Inhabitants of the Serenth galaxy have ID documents with them. The ID numbers are as follows:
AABBCC DEF GGGGGGG HHHH
AA = birth date (01 - 31)
BB = birth month (01 - 12)
CC = birth year (last two digits)
D = if D is 0, the person is not from any planet in the Serenth galaxy
if D is 1, the person is from a planet in the Serenth galaxy
E = if E is 0, the person is not from any planet in the Serenth galaxy
otherwise, the person is from a planet of Serenth; Newerth is 1
F = if F is 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8, the person is female
if F is 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9, the person is male
GGGGGGG = no significance
HHHH = racial ID (humans are 1041, Dark Elves are 2562, Valkyries are 0007)

SERENTH PLANET ID:
Serenth planets have ID codes, used on the ID documents and cards of Serenth. Only inhabitable planets are given these codes. If each number has been used, then by the decree of Tirahnys president, Ilina Horton, in 2012, the codes will also use letters.
0 - not from Serenth galaxy
1 - Newerth
2 - Dyznoir
3 - Iquarox
4 - Synhart
5 - Voraorite
SERENTH RACIAL ID:
Serenth races have ID codes, as well. These are four digits, and for use on Serenth ID documents and cards (otherwise, they are not really used). The numbers were chosen randomly, so no, "1041" was not used for the 1041st race discovered in Serenth. :P

2562 - Dark Elf
3904 - Elf
3941 - Half-Elf
4826 - Merman / Mermaid

TEMPORARY IDS:
The ministers in charge of the ID cards and documents are allowed to hand out temporary IDs - but only with good reasons. One such reason is amnesia, provided it was reliably diagnosed by a reliable source.
