On the Battery page of Serebii, Basculin is listed as a Pokémon that can have it… as a Bug/Electric-type.
On the Dancer page of Serebii, Kyurem is listed as a Pokémon that can have it… as a Fire/Flying-type.

Those are more than likely accidental.

Out of all the new Pokémon (Alolan Pokémon included), it looks like Cosmog, Cosmoem, and Magearna cannot learn Toxic at all.

Cosmog and Cosmoem can't learn any TMs at all, period. Cosmog learns Splash and Teleport. Cosmoem learns Cosmic Power and Teleport. That's about it.
The base stats for the Cosmog line? Let's see…
Name (Type)AbilityBase Stat TotalHPAttackDefenseSp. AtkSp. DefSpeed
Cosmog (Psychic)Unaware200432931293137
Cosmoem (Psychic)Sturdy40043291312913137
Solgaleo (Psychic/Steel)Full Metal Body6801371371071138987
Lunala (Psychic/Ghost)Shadow Shield6801371138913710797
As is normal for Legendary Pokémon, the Cosmog line cannot breed (not even with Ditto).
Solgaleo and Lunala both have moves they can learn from earlier levels - yet they evolve from Cosmoem at level 53.
By leveling up after evolution, Solgaleo learns Noble Roar (level 59), Flare Blitz (level 61), Wide Guard (level 67) and Giga Impact (level 73). The other moves it can learn by level up will have to be taught to it by Move Reminder or TM, it seems.
Similarly, Lunala learns these moves by level up: Dream Eater (level 59), Phantom Force (level 61), Wide Guard (level 67) and Hyper Beam (level 73). Other moves learned by level up also have to be taught by Move Reminder or TM.

Incidentally, this makes Solgaleo and Lunala the only Legendary Pokémon that can legitimately have Splash as a move.

The Alolan Geodude line is Rock/Electric. That's shocking. What's more, their Hidden Ability is Galvanize, which is like the Electric-type variation of Refrigerate.

Quote from: Necrozma's Moon Entry
Light is apparently the source of its energy. It has an extraordinarily vicious disposition and is constantly firing off laser beams.
Quote from: Necrozma's Moon Entry
Reminiscent of the Ultra Beasts, this life-form, apparently asleep underground, is thought to have come from another world in ancient times.

This Generation does not have Hidden Machines anymore. It looks like Surf, Waterfall, and Fly have become regular TMs now, but it looks like all former HMs have either become TMs or aren't TMs or HMs anymore.

Dazzling Gleam still is the only Fairy-type TM, so far.

Magearna can learn Aura Sphere.

Anabel looks… wow.

Various of the VS images may look like duplicates, but there are some minor differences (one female Ace Trainer may have a watch or something, while another may not, it looks like).

There also seems to be a masked Trainer.

Spoiler (hover to show)

Z-Moves also have their own images with the names appearing. Notably, unique ones like Catastropika are in a different font, it seems.

HMs are indeed gone for these games.

Paralysis now halves your Speed rather than dropping it to a quarter.

Thunder Wave's accuracy was reduced from 100 to 90.

The chance of hitting yourself when confused is now 1/3.

Spoiler (hover to show)

The Strange Souvenir is unchanged. So it has no use yet?

Once again, there are no new fossil Pokémon (just like in Generation II).

Super Potions restore 60 HP.
Hyper Potions restore 120 HP and cost 1500 Poké Dollars.

X-Defend and similar items now raise stats by two stages, not one.

Youngster Joey has a Metapod. (Damn. So much for an Alolan variant of Johto's Joey with the top percentage of Rattata. Oh, wait, this Joey probably has the top percentage of Metapod.)

Spoiler (hover to show)

Spoiler (hover to show)

Most Trainers' Pokémon apparently have a Serious nature. (What?)

Quite a lot of Trainers apparently have Level 5 Yungoos with a Serious nature, no EVs, IVs or moves. (These are probably just placeholders.)

Spoiler (hover to show)

There are two Office Workers. One named Shane, and one named Michelle. (Sadly, no Trainers named "Ellen", "Kushagra", or "Richard".)

Nuuuu ;-;
Now how will I get my Bidoof to learn Surf and rexy rekt everyone?

I don't think there would ever be a video game character with the name Kushagra because my name is so archaic.

Also "Kush" means Death or Slaughterer in Persian.

That's… certainly one way of explaining an Alolan Exeggutor attack.

"Help! Help! I'm being attacked!"

Alolan Grimer and Alolan Muk have the hidden ability "Power of Alchemy", which is pretty much the exact same ability as Passimian's "Receiver".

And as Richard has so helpfully pointed out so early in the morning:
Gengar no longer has levitate as an ability (which, incidentslly, doesn't make much sense since it has always been portrayed as touching the floor).

Instead, he now has Cursed Body. Any move done to him will have a 30% chance of being disable
Drizzle and Drought are now a lot more readily available as they've been made the secondary abilities of the Wingul line and Torkoal, respectively.

In addition, Gigalith and Vanilluxr now have Sand Stream and Snow Warning as their respective secondary abilities. (their pre-evolutions have Weak Armour and Snow Cloak instead, respectively.)

Indeed, Gengar lost Levitate to obtain Cursed Body.
Raikou, Entei and Suicune now have Inner Focus in place of Volt Absorb, Flash Fire and Water Absorb, respectively…
Wingull has Hydration as a new secondary ability, while Pelipper indeed has Drizzle as a new secondary ability.
And Torkoal certainly has Drought as an ability. (What was Ash's Torkoal's ability again?)
Roggenrola and Boldore chose that rock and roll is better than a boulder, so they have Weak Armor as a new secondary ability. Meanwhile, Sand Stream is Gigalith's second ability.
Vanillite and Vanillish were always the vanilla ice cream Pokémon, but they now have Snow Cloak as secondary abilities, while Vanilluxe is now with Snow Warning as a secondary ability.
Cubchoo and Beartic gain the new ability, Slush Rush, which boosts their Speed stat in a hailstorm. As such, they, as well as Alolan Sandshrew and Alolan Sandslash (who has it as a hidden ability), are the only Pokémon known at this point to have those abilities.

Lastly, Richard lost his Normal-type to become Heart-type. :P

Er, TMs are not single-use.
Oh wait, right, keep forgetting that they got made re-usable in Gen V.

And now, for the Alolan counterparts of the members of these forums, or perhaps the other forums (Astrum/Astrum GX/Astrum 5D's).

Aimee gets to be an Ace Trainer with an Alolan Ninetales.
Lynn gets to be a Veteran with Starmie, Shiinotic and Talonflame.
I, Michelle, am an Office Worker with Torkoal, Seaking and Leafeon.
Sarah gets to be a Preschooler with a Corsola.
Jessica gets to be an Office Worker with Clefairy.
Shane's an Office Worker with a Psyduck and a Fearow.
Alexis gets to be an Ace Trainer with a Goomy and a Sylveon.

… are Office Workers the Alolan counterpart of the Clerk Trainer Class?

There were theories that the Aether Foundation were the bad guys.

Oh, and it looks like Poké Rides may be replacing HMs this time around; it looks like Surf can't be used on the overworld anymore. Not sure about Fly, but Drampa can learn it by level up.

Starters are obtained in Iki Town. (We just need Ryou Town.)

Dexio and Sina return in these games, and can be battled.

According to EuroGamer, Pokémon Sun and Moon will get a follow-up headed to the Nintendo Switch next year, with the codename Pokémon Stars. Trading would be possible between SM and Stars, but there's a rumor that more creatures would be obtainable in the Switch version.

If that is true, this means a return to the usual "third version" thing that Generations V and VI skipped (V opting for sequels and VI opting for remakes or RS).

You know, may as well get Rowlet anyway, if only because its third stage evolution is an archer.
