Is this Digimon lol
Nah it became Digimon the moment Mega Evolution happened
Now we have some wack forms
To be fair to Digimon though, it did have some cool designs. Come to think of it, both Pokémon and Digimon have a popular monster (Charizard/Agumon) that has multiple forms and their mascot (Pikachu/Agumon) are yellow.
But back to Pokémon, Mega Evolution is far closer to MegaMan X Command Mission's Hyper Modes considering that both Mega Evolution/Hyper Mode are temporary powered up forms. Though Hyper Mode is better balanced considering it only lasts a few turns, or that to get Absolute Zero/Ultimate X, you have to fight 2 different optional bosses to unlock them.

Mega...
Giga(ntamax)...

I bet the NEXT "transformation" will have "Tera" in the name.

Either way, I take it stats change when in Gigantamax?
Shikai: Ibaratane (Release command: "Bloom~, Ibaratane~.")
Bankai: Ibaratane Mitsuin
Resurrección: Ibaratane del Grande Diablo

To do: violently murder Lynn for scarring me.
Then, put myself out of my misery.
The only way to truly free myself...

It wouldn't surprise me if the next gimmick did have Tera in it's name. And I suppose Gigantamax transformations do have stat changes (as well as new attacks).

Pokémon SwSh is available for preload but unplayable 'til release date (15 November), I hear.

But the lack of reveals (like evolutions) was intentional, too. That players can discover things for themselves...

Basically we only got like 24 Pokémon revealed (variants included) so far.

This isn't an emergency, but I'm making exceptions for Pokémon. As of tonight.

I'm lurking, but I won't post.
Unless it's an emergency, or Pokémon-related.

Who cares.

Oh that sounds nice. I'm sure Bloom would have enjoyed Sword and Shield despite the steps back it took.

You can now...
* cue fanfare *
...
Too soon.

You can now change natures using mints, and EXP Candy gives EXP - from XS to XL!

That's cool.

The only interesting thing to talk about is that one of the songs in this game was composed by Toby Fox.

Huh.
No bad times, I hope.

So, we have about the same amount of new Pokemon as Sun/Moon (and less regional variants).

Next year may add more.

So the game's been released. I'm sure if Bloom could, she'd talk our ear off about it. Who knows, perhaps she's enjoying it right now?
EDIT: So Applin and it's evolutions are Grass/Dragon, which I'm sure would make Bloom Seymour very happy.

Well, the darkest days are hardest to conquer... Kim'd probably love the new Fire-types.

Typical, she mentions Kim but it appears that Bloom is being unpersoned as we speak. Then again, from what I've seen of Pokémon Sword/Shield, it doesn't seem too impressive. The main villain plot twist was already done in Gen 7 already and the Legendary designs are lacklustre.

Then there's #890 with that 1125 Base Stat Total form... I don't like it. Irony, huh?

And the Ghost/Dragon line... well. Sounds interesting.

But I like the fossils more. And Perrserker.

At least we don't have to see complaints about there being no Dark Gym any longer...
