GB(C)(A), DS and 3DS games
« on: 17 September 2019, 22:44:20 »
Talk about games for the Game Boy (Color/Advance), the Nintendo DS and the 3DS.
Games without their own threads, in short.

I hear Style Savvy (DS) only gets female customers while the sequels get male ones as well.

And that Tales of the World - Narikiri Dungeon 3 has a girl named Harold.
Wielder of Claíomh Solais.
Younger sister of Alexis.
In love with Bloom.

I rather like Monster Tale.
And that Hatsworth grandpa.

Then there's Chrono Trigger (I hate that Son of the Sun boss) and Black Sigil (another RPG that I've yet to play).

Scribblenauts too.
And Magical Starsign...

And the Legendary Starfy.
When'll that Starfy appear in Super Smash Bros.?

Monster Tale was supposed to get a 3DS port (Monster Tale Ultimate) but I doubt it's gonna happen. Henry Hatsworth is a game I've beaten normally and on Gentleman Mode. Really, The Machine becomes a real intense battle in Gentleman Mode.

Good show! :)

* hasn't yet beaten either *

Progress:
Monster Tale - on the way to where Priscilla is.
Henry Hatsworth - the Puzzle World, I think?
Drawn to Life: clear! *cue defibrillator*
DtL: The Next Chapter: third area?

Aside from Monster Tale, it appears that we've both played these games. Maybe we have similar tastes in games?
Regarding the Puzzle Realm (World 4), it's not that hard, though the secret levels are utterly frustrating. The boss of that world isn't too hard (though the final Weaselby Machine's second form took me several tries). After that, you'll have to deal with Tealand, the final world. Here's a useful tip for 5-2, you can actually skip the first enemy rush by wall climbing (which is kinda difficult, but can be done) and potential skip some of the level.
Also regarding Drawn to Life, did you ever unlock the Developer's Grove. All you have to do is put 10,000 Coins in the well to unlock.

Drawn to Life well: yep, looks like I did.
Taste in games: well, I'll play pretty much anything - be it "Bleach The 3rd Phantom", "Style Savvy", "Drawn to Life", "Sonic Colors", "Zuma's Revenge" (not a former president), "Princess on Ice", "Dragon Quest", "Lost in Blue", "Code Lyoko", "MegaMan Zero", "Pipe Mania", "Breath of Fire" or even "MySims" or "Sonic Battle"...

A wide taste in games. :-/

Since I don't have a clue what "Oshare Princess", "Itadaki Street", "Tactics Ogre", "Touch Detective" or some other games are, I don't play 'em...

Ariana may understand them, but I don't. (Sometimes games get screwed out of official translations though - Summon Night games "Swordcraft Story 3" and "X - Tears Crown", for instance. Plus some games... don't get the best names...)

Monster Tale - progress report:
All child forms unlocked.
Dark teenage form... between 50% and 75% (SERIOUSLY?!) but all other teen forms known so far unlocked.
One adult form (Sentinel) unlocked.

* chomp *

The final shop, I believe, is the location I'm at right now.

(With a whopping two forms at level 30...)

Regarding Majora's Mask 3DS, I just need to get the Kamaro Mask, Couple's Mask, Postman's Hat, Romani Mask, Troupe Leader Mask and Mask of Truth. After that, I can go get the Fierce Deity Mask. The plan here is to kill Majora, then after I beat him, kill again but this time with the Fierce Deity Mask.

After that, I've got Bravely Second to play (On Chapter 2, went off to level grind because I foolishly let Angelo inflict my healer with Ghost status). Then I have several more games on my New Nintendo 3DS (which yes, still isn't a good name because it's confusing) to play before I even think of buying anymore. I might go back to SMT4:A, kill En no Ozuno (because I really wanted the full challenge of Twisted Tokyo) and then go to YHVH's Universe and hopefully (paraphrasing Dagda) drag YHVH off his throne.
Phew.

I like the Requiem of Spirits song on that ocarina of time.

Not that it does anything in Majora's Mask - not even as an easter egg (or a "But nothing happens" message).

The Song of Double Time is a real lifesaver as is the Inverted Song of Time. Makes doing the game's sidequests far easier to manage.

The original Style Savvy (DS) only has like two male characters. Dominic, and... his butler, I think.

GBA game Medabots was fun, but so is Sonic Battle. Pity there's many Awakened skills with "?" as names.
... Those who cannot let go of the past are doomed to repeat it...

I'm lurking, but I won't post.
Unless it's an emergency, or Pokémon-related.

Who cares.

... Oh, a platypus.

I haven't even played that game. Perhaps they're more skilled at the battle system? Maybe you'll win some day...

I got to the Allergia Garden in that Master of Disguise, though.
Didn't get far with Wario Land 4 though.

Plus Radiant Historia has a remake for 3DS ("Perfect Chronology")...
