I'm not letting this thread go to waste. Two weeks ago, I decided to rewatch Madoka Magica in order to help me through my despair. It was a great idea and I've only grown to love the anime more now. Before I took the week off, I went and watched Death Parade. For a 12 episode anime, it's neat. The show is well animated, the characters are likeable and the premise (arbitors judging dead souls by making them play games) is fun for what it is. It's also more poignant than the OP would suggest (kinda like how Madoka Magica is far darker than it's OP), and while I do think it could use a second season, it was fun for what it was though I doubt I'll rewatch it.
So far Neon Genesis Evangelion, Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Revolutionary Girl Utena are my favourite anime, and I would rewatch them again and again.
